They should bring out a jenny figure instead of the captain jack figure

I know. It seemed a bit odd that it wasn’t that way. Maybe that had problems with making Jenny or something? I think she will definitely be in Series 5.

Why does the War Doctor have the long coat when Christopher Eccleston didn’t? Aren’t they the same/same type of jacket?

No, the war doctor’s jacket was brown, rather older- looking and longer.

Oh, yes. So it is. Having compared the images, I agree with you, but they are very similar style.

    • CB Doctor

      August 18th, 2014 - 8:12am

I thought about that when I first saw the image too. They have started using long coats for a lot of figures now. I think that it suits the War Doctor more than the 9th Doctor.

does the eleventh doctor with handles have grey hair cause if it does all u need to do is get the 11th doctor in this wave paint the hair grey. then get a cyberman’s head and make it look damaged like handles and you’ve got your own handles and the doctor. and if u want your own wooden cyberman just paint or carefully color in with a permanent marker the cyberman and color the blue in yellow/orange and u have your own wooden cyberman

Handbot10 is right about ‘The Eleventh Doctor with Handles’ figure. I was also going to make a custom ‘Wooden Cyberman’ figure in a similar way to what you said. I think that could work well.

I know one tesco that will have them if I go in the right week…! They briefly had wave 3 and the 50th wave. Opposite there is the entertainer and nearby is toys r us, so if I go i might catch this wave somewhere!

    • dra

      August 17th, 2014 - 2:21pm

in the Tesco near me they had wave 1 and 2, wave 3 for a week and that was it and theres a toys r us near there and i go there and they only have the sets

    • CB Doctor

      August 17th, 2014 - 7:10pm

Yeah, shops are beginnings to stop selling Doctor Who CB, which makes me annoyed and worried that they are becoming unpopular (and therefore discontinued).

    • 100000BC

      August 17th, 2014 - 8:57pm

Maybe the display brix will help shops and customers see them as a new product…? I hope that as Capaldi may be more popular, so may the toys. At my local tesco, cb W2 was sold once it opened, but it was already old and that may have caused them to think that they were unpopular whereas in fact, we regular buyers just already had them all. In toys r us, they never did waves 3 or 50th, probably because they still have leftover wave 1 and 2. Since the last wave of bricks sold out, I am hoping that they will get enough w4 to satisfy whovians.

    • CB Doctor

      August 19th, 2014 - 8:35pm

I hope that display brix (and the new packaging style) will renew customers’ and stores’ view of them. When I go into Tesco and that have Doctor Who CB, I try and get as many as I can in the hope that they will sell them in the future.

It is kind of a good thing that you missed this – It came as a surprise. But don’t worry, they are still in stock and only came out at the start of the month.

I really like some of your ideas, I think that wave 5 might be:
12th Doctor (in some kind of costume variation)
      Clara (different costume)
      Jenny
      Danny Pink
Cyberman (with the middle circle closed)
Dalek (Don’t know which one, but they do it every wave)
Variation of 12th doctor or clara figure
      Other S8 character
      Other S8 character
      Other S8 monster/alien
      Other S8 monster/alien
      Other S8 character OR monster/alien

I know that I haven’t been specific, but that’s what i think Series 5 will be like.

I have contacted them, and there is no information on variety packs. The War Doctor has tenths sonic because Character try to save on molds, so re-use many pieces when they don’t really need to make a new one. I think that they should have made one, as it is unique to the other screwdrivers.

    • The Living Shadow

      August 16th, 2014 - 3:38pm

They should have gave him a classic one, because all we’d need to do is cut off the top part, and we’d have it!

I also think blind bricks and blind bags are not fair maybe blind bricks look cool but it’s so unfair. I don’t doing common, Uncommon, rare are fair so I don’t really see what is wrong showing us what we get or having writing on them telling us who we get.

  • CB Doctor

They were quite appealing at first, but then it got out of hand. Character still think its a good idea.
Also, LEGO tried it with ‘Mr Gold’, and even then they produced something like 10,000 figures. I’m guessing hat it proved unpopular as they haven’t been doing super rare figures recently.

Has anyone else that owns the figures noticed that their heads are a lot small than those of previous figures? For example, Twelve’s head sculpt look tiny compared to Eleven’s…

    • CB Doctor

      August 11th, 2014 - 7:30pm

I think that they are trying to get the head more proportional to the body of the figures. I think that Character would redo the 11th doctor’s head sculpt with more detail and a smaller shape if they could.

    • StetsonDoctor

      August 11th, 2014 - 8:13pm

Oh yes-don’t get me wrong, I love the new size, even if it doesn’t quite fit with older figures. CB has come a long way in 3 years…

    • SAnthony1138

      August 11th, 2014 - 8:30pm

If it really is noticeable.. these will likely be the last ones I buy. Even then, it’s mainly the War Doctor I’m after. Between this, the move away from blind bags and the Ridiculous Rares I may be out of this game.

  • CB Doctor

    August 11th, 2014 - 6:42pm

The super rares for Series 4 are SUPER rare:

[75] The 11th Doctor with Handles
    [100] Clara Oswald
    [50] Wooden Cyberman
[75] The Eleventh Doctor from The Crimson Horror
    [50] Captain Jack Harkness

I really think that there is no point in looking for them with this series. Even though they look cool, they are unbelievably rare.

PS: I have an image, that I can email to be put up on the site.

    • CB Doctor

      August 11th, 2014 - 7:20pm

I Know! It’s stupid – I think that they should do the ‘Super rare’ figures as exclusives with newspapers, like they have previously done with the Doctor (blue tie), Amy, and Eternal Dalek. You can still find those figures on Ebay, meaning that collectors would still be able to complete their collection without spending hundreds of pounds.
