Remembrance of The Daleks Ace Figure

Underground Toys SDCC Ace Figure 2013 Exclusive

Due end of August

Available to pre order now from www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk

UK Price is £15.99

ace-50

The Seventh Doctor first met Ace in the Iceworld trading colony on the planet Svartos. Ace was from Perivale on Earth in the 1980s, but had been deposited on Iceworld in a freak time storm. She hated her real name ‘Dorothy’, and instead rebelliously went by ‘Ace’. She had a dangerous aptitude for high explosives and never shied away from danger.

ace-new

A teen tearaway Ace matured considerably during her travels with the Doctor, encountering on the way many wondrous planets and places and a true menagerie of enemies from eight foot tall blue Demons, malevolent Victorian houses, the relentless Cybermen, inter-dimensional Arthurian knights, a psychopathic robot called the Kandyman and even the Master while helping the Cheetah People. But it was against the Daleks on Earth in 1963 that she showed the most pluck by dispatching several of them with her trademark Nitro-9 explosives, an RPG and even a baseball bat enhanced by Time Lord technology…Wicked!

Set Includes..

  • Three Nitro 9 cans
  • Rocket launcher with missile
  • Ruck Sack
  • Baseball Bat
  • Removable Jacket with 2 alternative arms to produce t Shirt variant

USA have had theirs (Ace), seems like any new classics may be coming to a standstill as well with virtually nothing else planned.

This is true? FPI website still says 30th August, and Al Dewar said they’re on the ship!

According to FPi, Ace is delayed until Monday the 9th of September & the FP.com website says Ace is merely Out of Stock.

I was hoping there wouldn’t be yet another Delay. Why does this keep happening with Classic Exclusives? Everytime we order them, just before “Release”, at the last minute, they say “Oh wait, Sorry. Due in a few weeks or so.” They’re never released on time. Why? 🙁

I don’t think it would really matter where you order it from as if one site’s got them in, then surely the other would…

    • AlexanderOP

      August 1st, 2013 - 12:17am

Well if you had ordered it from Ebay from an American seller that went to the con (or still did), it would probably arrive before FP even gets her in stock. Though it will cost a fair bit more than from Forbidden Planet, so it’s probably better to wait for FP to get it in stock.

I met her at the BFI yesterday; she was amazing. She stayed for ages signing autographs and made sure all the kids got to see her and didn’t miss out. She’s also very knowledgeable about her era of the show where other actor can be a bit (or very!) fuzzy.

Here is my Series 8 List (only seven episodes, but oh well):

    1) The Soul Hunter (pt. 1/2): The Doctor and Clara land in the Middle Ages to hunt down a soul-devouring creature.
    2) The Portal in the Fountain (pt. 2/2): The Skeshren, has jumped timelines again and is on a British Submarine. How will the Doctor and Clara, with new friends Elizabeth and Edward, get to present day before the Skeshren?

Yes, forbiddenplanet.com imports items from the UK as well but the international .co.uk site gets imports from all over the world and gets them to the UK and that’s how they got the 11th Doctor and Scientist Dalek even though Underground Toys wanted it America exclusive.

CO really loves Remembrance of the Daleks which is good for me because I love it too.As much as I would LOVE Two of these,at £16 each I don’t think I could afford it.I’m not a preorder person, not since the annoyance that was the joints on the Dalek Collectors set 1 but as soon as I see some good reviews,I will fully decide.
