Rare Classic ‘Glass’ Dalek Prototype (ebay listing)

You can see the listing on www.ebay.co.uk

Sellers description…

You are biding for never before available prototype GLASS DALEK from the classic series.

It’s the stuff of myth and legend, why has there never been released a clear dalek from Character?!

It’s common knowledge that it was prototyped but never ever released. The closest we ever saw was the half sprayed one from the Toys R Us doctor and dalek sets.

Now one has finally surfaced! Don’t miss out, bid now to secure a truly legendary rare figure!

Get in NOW and fill that gap in your collection!

This seller often has rare and unreleased prototypes. You can see all items listed Here

Also I don’t think this is made from a spray dalek because this has an oval in between the appendages and the spray one does not

Would’ve been nice if Character Toys had finished it off with a partially mutated bloke inside and then release it…

I got my dalek to look just like this with paint remover and it comes up really well. Takes some patience and some work but worth it. It’s a good way to save some money. You just need e half sprayed dalek from the their doctor set.

£250 for that?! Surely those bidding should realise that they could buy TRU Planet Daleks and use paint remover on them. Infact, that thought makes me doubt the authenticity of this ‘rare’

this seller has had loads of production samples and rare figures such as the disco dancing 9th before, many of them have sold for 100’s of pounds

I have no doubt this is a production sample as well, could even be the one seen at the toy fair

Yes soak it in white spirit for a while then you can take the layers of paint off bit by bit, it comes up well, takes a bit of work around the neck though.

their is actually some yellowing around the first neck grill that could suggest this actually used to be painted..
