September 7th, 2013 - 7:13pmI just got the 5th 7th and 9th Dr/Dalek sets from my local toys r us in Medway Kent, there were loads of the first wave (2nd, 6th, 10th) and only 1 of each of the second wave!

August 31st, 2013 - 8:06amWent to TRU who had four sets of each tucked away out of view. Could not believe the state of the boxes. I spent 30 minutes trying to get the most optimal ones.
At the end of the day, the boxes are what I display, and are seen before the figures, so I compromised a bit of over-paint for a better condition box. In theory I could get the over-paint off, but I cannot repair a damaged box.

August 31st, 2013 - 1:27pmI know how you feel….im a sucker for mint packaging. Ordered all 3 from the TRU website and they arrived yesterday in a sturdy box and all the boxes were very good; no dents etc. Thats the gamble with ordering online and I was lucky this time.

August 29th, 2013 - 2:27pmIf not we can just paint them like I have on all the other slight colour variation errors so far. Better get my pot of black ready to hand… And the variant with black slats but a grey lower ring would be good… At least I’ve got some spare silver gunsticks to get rid of this black one. I know they were silver main tube with black outer wires but all black just looks wrong.

I’ll definitely get a couple of these sets, one to convert into an Imperial and the other I will paint the slats black lol.

August 4th, 2013 - 11:33pmYes, I find it a strange choice, can’t be the best for big sales. Same with the 2nd Doc, his dalek was in the Collector’s Set #2 and that’s flooded the market again in recent months, as little as £15 for three daleks.
