Torchwood: Red Skies Audio CD

Torchwood: Red Skies Audio CD
By Joseph Lidster

An exciting and exclusive new audio adventure, based on the hit TV series and set after the conclusion of Miracle Day. Red Skies , featuring Captain Jack as played on screen by John Barrowman, is written by Joseph Lidster and read by John Telfer. It is one of four audio original titles to be published by AudioGO in Spring 2012.

Jack Harness is in need of a holiday. He wants to get away from Torchwood, away from the human race – and where better to get completely away from it all than Cotter Paluni’s World, a planet surrounded by deadly scarlet lightning and cut off from the entire universe?

But there are some shocks in store for Jack: the ‘Devil’s World’ might be completely isolated and inaccessible, but its inhabitants worship Torchwood. And before he can find out why, or how this is even possible, he finds himself arrested for murder.

It looks as if someone on the planet knows who Jack is – and they’re out to get him…

Released 3rd May 2012

Miracle Day was trash that had been thrown out the window after episode 2. Episode 1 was thrilling but when they suddenly got dumped on an aeroplane to the U.S, I knew that Torchwood was gonna change.

I haven’t had a chance to listen to any of these new audios yet, but they sure do look interesting.
I’m not gonna get my hopes up though as I’m one of those who wasn’t a fan of Miracle Day.

Are you sure about that? It wouldn’t make sense as we have yet to find out the truth of Rex. Many Torchwood Audio stories were set before Children Of Earth even though they were released ages after it had aired.

Well, I know that Army of One and Fallout are set after The Miracle. I suppose this one could be set before The Miracle. We’ll have to wait and see (or listen)!

Well in DWM 445 is say’s “A new run of four stories set in the aftermath of TORCHWOOD:MD”

Also Steve Tribe project editor said that they were planning and writing them as MD was being played on the TV, I.e. not knowing what was going to happen at the end of the series, but as the audios were completed after the series had finished they have been able to make them fell as if they follow on…
Which you can see from (Army Of One)
