The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987

Out Now – The unofficial Dr Who annual 1987

Available to order from www.lulu.com

Earlier this year, a 47 year gap was filled on collectors bookshelves with the release of ‘The unofficial Dr Who annual 1972’. Which featured stories and illustrations produced by fans, as well as celebrity contributions from the worlds of Doctor Who.

Now TERRAQUEOUS DISTRIBUTORS have released The unofficial Dr Who annual 1987.

The annual is an impressive 122 pages, featuring stories and illustrations produced by fans, as well as celebrity contributions from Frazer Hines, Alister Pearson, and David J Howe.

“We are so proud and honoured to have our heroes, take part in the annual – although this time we also have a villain gracing the pages too. Sil, is quite possibly the greatest villain the sixth Doctor has ever faced. And thanks to the kindness of Keith Barnfather, and Sil’s creator Philip Martin, Sil has a couple of pages dedicated to him.”

The Unofficial Dr Who Annual 1987 is published by Terraqueous Distributors and available from Lulu at the print-on-demand price of £21.64 plus shipping costs). The annual is a not-for-profit publication, and none of the money paid by purchasers goes to the publisher or to any of the contributors. Visit www.lulu.com to order the annual.

The Unofficial DR WHO Annual 1972 is also available, but will be retired in January 2020. Visit www.lulu.com to order the annual.

Next year, Terraqueous Distributors will be releasing The unofficial Master annual. Which they are hoping to release on 1st March 2020 – what would have been Roger Delgado’s birthday.

Depending on whether you order over the weekend or through the week. Lulu usually take 9-14 days.

These are print-on-demand books, and I can imagine this title being particular popuar too. Its only been 6 days since you ordered.

Mine took 10 days to arrive, which wasn’t particularly long, and it was well worth the wait.

Yeah I know they can take a while it’s just the 3-5 days printing time always seems a bit optimistic of them! I’ve also ordered a target for Tommy as I missed the original one it came out.

Mine has also arrived, it really is authentic and flawless. The 80s annuals have been recreated perfectly, but at the same time the team at Terraquerous have also improved on the original 80s annuals too.

You can tell that a lot of love, planning and fun has gone into these. This is the direction that I hope the original annuals would have taken if they had continued.

These are definitely not like any other fan homage, these are something else, and in a league of their own. Well-done to all who put these wonderful books together, I look forward to the unofficial Master annual.

My Fannual Annual has arrived. Beautiful. But for the TERRAQUEOUS logo. You would be hard pressed to know this was not offical, of its time, material.

From the End papers design to the stories artwork, There is a quality , that , if I have to be picky , leaves the Comic Strips, looking a little below Par(from what we are used to) .

Superb Work for all including LuLu who got this out in double quick time , printed to such a high standard.

Well done TERRAQUEOUS, and all who contributed. Now squireled away for Xmas.

Oh dear… I wrote one of the strips! Haha. Fancy giving some constructive criticism on them, as we’re working on other annuals now?

(The annual does look great, and I’m very proud to be in it!)

It’s not the stories so much as the artwork, some of it’s a little odd. Two things though, the original annuals comic strip art wasn’t exactly 100% accurate anyway and I’m not a huge fan of comics so I’m not the best judge anyway. I enjoyed the stories though

Thanks! I had a blast writing it, and hoping to contribute to any upcoming annual.

The Sixth Doctor was immensely fun to write for. Sorry the art wasn’t to your tastes this time. My friend Tiziana (the artist) is Italian, and I think the European influence added a new dimension to the storytelling.

I think Luke who did the other strip did a great job. His art feels akin to what we get in Titan Comics.

Anyway, if I pull the scripts off, next time(s) – there’s a bubble, then there’s fire! Make of that handy hint what you will!

And my fire story is now published in annual 1989! The bubble story is still a-go too, for… well, what comes next. But that’s a spoiler!

Gave a mate of mine both titles and the 15% code but he said the titles are no use, when I checked using the title of the 72 annual, reversed polarity, he was right, the title doesn’t bring the book up! So I gave him the links provided here and he’s now ordered them. He asked me to pass on his thanks to the person who put the code on and to boo boo for the links

Thanks for the 15% code, I’ve ordered them both so the kids are going to starve but it’s worth it! And thanks for the links boo boo, would have been impossible to find them using their proper titles without them.

these print on demand volumes are always expensive, especially in full colour, but would likely not happen at all otherwise

Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it should be cheaper. Because it is a print on demand, small production run it will be expensive. I’m just saying that right now I don’t have the money for it.
