Anyone else had problems with their 12th doctor figure paint job? Mine showed up today with very noticeable amounts of paint loss on the figure. His nose is black and the cheeks are also missing paint. Imdont get how these figures get past quality checks if they even bother with them. I’m going to have to return it and hopefully find one in the shops. I don’t get why these figures are so cheaply made. I have stayed faithful to the 3.75 line but I’m a little disheatened by it after problems with paint work and joints just breaking.

Regrettably, I don’t see myself getting a Twelfth Doctor figure. The regenerated figure is pretty much useless except for recreating two scenes, and the standard release has a direly inaccurate face sculpt. I can understand trying to make him look more serious, but he ends up looking more young, and actually a bit like a monkey.

Of course not! It will be out in US very soon. And just imagine how much more you can buy for those £20 if you won’t waste them on shipping alone.

    • Jared

      September 26th, 2014 - 2:29pm

When you put it that way, I guess that sounded like a pretty silly question. 😳 I’ve sent an order to Forbidden planet.com but I think I’m going to cancel it then. Thanks for the heads up though!

    • Lior Knight

      September 26th, 2014 - 2:33pm

      No problem.

Trust me it might feel like you need to have it now but by the time you’d get the package those most likely will be out everywhere. Just think – if its out in UK now it won’t be long before north America gets their stock. Maybe matter of couple of weeks so really is worth waiting.

    • Jared

      September 26th, 2014 - 3:11pm

Haha, yeah. 😀 Thanks again! I guess I got over excited with the release of the figure. Thank goodness I just saved that money!

This figure looks dull. If the red lining was included then it would have at least brighten up the figure. Plus why did they replace the first head sculpt of Capaldi with this new head sculpt? It just looks miserable as if he watched a depressing movie.

      September 26th, 2014 - 1:24pm

The problem is not the figure, it’s the actual 12th Doctor suit that is dull, like the 9th doctor’s. 10th and 11th were cool, but this one, nah

    • Monty

      September 26th, 2014 - 6:48pm

I think the Capaldi’s costume suits him very well. It’s very minimalist but without losing too much thanks to the red lining which helps his Doctor stand out. I look at it and can immediatley see the Doctor wearing something like this. The 9th Doctor’s costume, however, is a different story. With the other costumes there was a flair of suave and mysteriousness about them. The 9th Doctor’s costume was basically a leather jacket from an end of sales line at George.
