The Seventh Doctor’s Silk Scarf Pre-Order

The Seventh Doctor’s Silk Scarf

The Seventh Doctor’s iconic appearance was designed by Ken Trew in April 1987, ready for McCoy’s debut in Time and the Rani.

He battled Daleks and Cybermen, braved Paradise Towers, played chess with Fenric, and performed at the Psychic Circus for the Gods of Ragnarok until the costume made its last appearance in 1989’s Survival.

Just picked this up. Come’s in a nice silver-foil embossed box with the BBC & Doctor Who Logo on it. Wrapped in a sleeve of tissue paper this 100% silk scarf is a beautiful piece of kit…

I wonder of they’ll do first doctor stuff like the wig, his ring and his costume?

Nice – but it wasn’t ready for Time and the Rani the Doctor wore a tartan scarf in that…pedantic I know – but fans are supposed to be….

You say that. It is my least favourite episode, but at a Bonhams auction 2-3 years ago, I held the scarf with a few other bits, and thought it might be worth 200-odd quid, but went for well over a thousand (I think £1400-1500) plus 41% on top of that.

Least favourite episode or not, you can see the appeal of such things even if they were in one story. This post-Time and the Rani item is actually rather nice, and if Lovarzi make it cheap enough, then one will be for the collection and one to wear.

I have a lot of time for Lovarzi.
