Nice cover but a shame Rani has been flipped and is a mirror image but who cares? A lovely red to complete the collection in style.

Is it me or does the box look really big in a way? What could possibly be in there? Here’s hoping it’s not that bad CGIed TARDIS interior with the only non CGI part bit being Matt Smith declaring stuff about big adventures and friends. Anyone remember that? No? Just me?

I don’t see the point in a single release of 5th Series, because it is incomplete, the series was never fully made, the story is incomplete.

Surely they should have just released the three episodes with the COMPLETE box-set ? πŸ™

If they did just release it in the complete box set, people who collected each series would be mad that they’d have to buy the entire set just to get one series.

Anyway, short as it is, the series IS complete. It just wound up being much shorter than the others.

On the cover of the boxset, though, it doesn’t actually use the word ‘complete’, it just says ‘The Fifth Series’. Is it like this on all SJA releases?

    • Admiral Icktheus

      December 24th, 2011 - 8:14am

All the other boxsets have had the word complete on them. This is the only one which doesn’t. πŸ™‚

Bit random to use the series 4 promo Images…

I like it. Could have been better with Mr. Serf as he was the last ‘enemy’.

Oh yeah, they have used the S4 promo pictures! As for the cover, I think it would have looked better with the Metalkind to the left, the Totem Pole in the middle and a Skullian/Mr Serf on the right.

    • River Song

      December 24th, 2011 - 2:22pm

they used series 4 pictures because they had no recent ones due to Elisabeth dying.

I KNEW the cover would be red!, since S1 = blue, S2 = purple, S3 = green and S4 = yellow. Red had to appear in the collection somewhere!

Would have much rather had the Totem Pole on there! Shame the cover is all about Sky (the episode) as I really, really didn’t like it which was disappointing since it was the introductory episode to the last series. The other stories were good though. My fave was The Curse Of Clyde Langer.

I like the cover but I think they should have done it like the series 1, 3 and 4 dvds with three aliens on the front. For this one they could have done Metal-Kind in the middle then the Totem pole and a Skullion on either side.

I loved the Sarsh Jane Adventures, such a shame there will be no more. I hope that they won’t do what they did with the Brigadier and write him off off screen – let Sarah Jane live on forever in the whoniverse.
