Haha…very true! But I’m loving the look of the Ice Warrior and Rassilon (The Narrator) but the Silent does look pretty impressive! Loving these figures more now!

amazing that USA previews are now up to issue 6 and that these images have now appeared yet they are still telling UK customers nothing.

      July 19th, 2013 - 1:04pm

I don’t get it either! I still haven’t had my confirmation email yet, so I’m not sure if I’m actually a subscriber yet…which is quite disheartening for such a nice looking collection, just hope they sort themselves out soon so we can all sit back and watch the issues come through out letter boxes every fortnight!

just emailed them again about this, USA previews magazine are up to issue 6 and now this, and their UK customers are not been told a thing

I haven’t received a subscription confirmation email either, I phoned up and the told me to phone back in a few days so I did. Then they told me to phone back in a week, so I did. And then they told me they where transferring the information to a new database and I should wait until I received a confirmation email or letter. I still haven’t received anything! Very poor service.

Glad it’s not only me…but quite let down that’s it’s not only me it’s happening to me, but I think everyone has had this problem, just very for customer service, lack of contact, slowly pushing me towards cancelling altogether, I’m not going to pay this much every two weeks for service like this…not worth it.

    • booboo

      July 19th, 2013 - 1:23pm

dont cancel, the figures are great and well worth it (you may find “human” characters a bit hit and miss), its well known about the poor service, part of the course with them. I hear it all the time but you would think they would address it.

mind you 90% of Doctor Who product licence holders dont reply to emails either, trust me i know.

The 10th Dr looks to be a lot better than the 11th.

  • DrWho2013

    July 16th, 2013 - 1:11pm

And the final wants for the series (but probably the most unlikely)…

    – Sixth Doctor (Ultimate Adventure costume variant)
    – Sixth Doctor (Reeltime variant)
    – Seventh Doctor (Death Comes To Time variant)
    – Charley (from the Big Finish audios)
    – Lucy Miller ((from the Big Finish audios)
    – Eighth Doctor in morgue shroud (TV Movie)
    – Peter Cushing Dr.Who (Dr.Who and the Daleks / Invasion Earth 2150 AD)
    – Alternate Ninth Doctor (Scream of the Shalka webcast)

And that would be a collection I would definitely commit to – even if it took up 3-4 yrs!

It seems they are using the email address of that collection (monster invasion) for reply’s i.e the acknowledgement of email revived email and there actual response from somebody at Database Factory. Don’t worry through they will reply about this collection. Its likely that come the national launch they will use the email address given on the website (the figurines one), but I am not sure why they are not using it now.

I will get my replacement issues 2/3 when collection relaunches, plus issue 1(I bought n shops and damaged so want to order new one).

It seems test subscribers WILL get issues 4/5 according to the below email.

“Your customer account number will be the same when the collection launches nationally.
We have been advised October as the start date but as yet do not have the official launch date.
Closer to the time you will get a letter saying about all future payments and deliveries.
Rest assure you will get all issues 1-5 as soon as it starts”

For those who have have received issues 2/3 damaged during the test run or want to know why it was so bad i,e poorly managed, they finally admitted the truth in an earlier email

“..Sorry to hear some issues are damaged for you. As I am sure you have been told we have no stock at this time. During the test we get little or none.

We can replace damaged one for you but you are going to have to wait until the subscription starts and we receive more stock….”

I had an opportunity to see the figurines today on display on a table at the London Film and Comic-Con as some of the makers of the magazine where there promoting it [including another magazine about figurines of Federation Starships from the Star Trek].

I took a browse through issue 2 all about Davros before taking a good look at the figurine of him and the other 4 shown in the above top picture.

None of the Dalek figurines where on display, not even the 17cm Emperor Dalek one.

They ACTUALLY confirmed your Subscription & Subscriber Number?

    • cjayp33

      July 7th, 2013 - 4:04pm

You should get two emails one is a acknowledgement email saying they have received your request to subscribe to the collection which comes not long after you subscribe. This is probably what Korsair has. In three days time you should get a confirmation email which has your subscription details like subscriber number and this email is actually like a letter you would get through the post but via email.

    • Radburn

      July 8th, 2013 - 5:43am

Callum – I have never received the ‘supposed’ 2nd email (On any of my previous Subscriptions) with any Confirmation of my Subscription or Subscriber Number – I always have to chase the Database Factory up – Which I will be doing today. I do get the Acknowledgement email saying they have received my request to subscribe. What people fail to get is that you need your Subscriber Number in this case, to access your Online Archive of the digital versions on their Website. Everytime I hear the words ‘Database Factory’ I get angry…

    • cjayp33

      July 8th, 2013 - 12:53pm

Radburn that is strange as i got the second email within three days when I subscribed to the test launch, so perhaps yours has not been processed as you only get it after your subscription request has been processed. I don’t think people care about the online version, I don’t (and this will be my first collection that has one) but the number has a far greater use and that is if you have any problems you need to give them your subscriber number as it will help sort out the issues you are having.

    • Radburn

      July 8th, 2013 - 1:55pm

I don’t think mine ever get’s processed as they are so lax with everything! I certainly agree about the online version – I don’t give two hoots about that – But your certainly right about needing the Subscriber Number in case of problems. That’s why I always ask for it as they always cause problems – Wrong debits, wrong issues, missing items. Or in your case 3 Damaged Copies, which in my opinion they should have replaced free for you…

Radburn, I believe they are free as they never mentioned costs, but they have not arrived as last time I checked they were awaiting more stock. That is why I have emailed them today, to check if I will still receive them, now that this collection is going national. But they are a bit lax or not very helpful due to not having correct info as some replies I have got have mistakes and seem rushed. They do in there defense deal with all eaglemosses collections, so I bet all staff work work across them all.

The trouble is though Callum they have always been shoddy – They have a bad reputation with many people & their service never improves. Even if you are the clearing house for many, many Collections you would think they would either put in the correct info in their computer systems or upgrade & update completely…

Usual helpful reply from the Database Factory. I’m still waiting for my Confirmation email – So will ‘attempt’ to contact them Monday – Absolutely useless!

Mind you, given who it is, we always get charged about a month or so before they bother sending anything out so being charged at the end of August would probably mean an October start date.

its from Database Factory that explains a lot as often they get told the wrong thing/of date info where Eaglemoss has the up to date info, So I would take it as a pinch of salt. Have asked Eaglemoss to clarify.

So looks like we will start from issue 4 then with subscriptions as they never sent us issues 4/5 and it means annoyingly I will be left with damaged issues 2/3.

Same here, received damaged issues 2&3 from the test collection – no sign of 4&5.
Really hope they improve the packaging/despatch methods.
Extremely wary of subscriptions being handled by database factory. Have had problems with all (inc. DW Monster Invasion – anyone else have payments taken out as recently as last month? – even though it finished with issue 52 quite some time ago).
