The Masque of Mandragora
The TARDIS is temporarily captured by the Mandragora Helix, a spiral of energy with a controlling influence, at the centre of which the ship is infiltrated by a sparkling ball of energy.
The travellers then move on to the Dukedom of San Martino in Renaissance Italy, where the Doctor quickly realises that the Mandragora energy is loose. The energy enters an underground temple and reveals itself to the outlawed Brotherhood of Demnos, whose leader, the court astrologer Hieronymous, is instructed to make ready for Mandragora’s full appearance… there’s trouble ahead for the Doctor!

not one of my favrites because i like furteristic spacey stuff
not old medevil sort of stuff but for that stuff its prety good
i ll give it 6 out of ten
any did u known a few years a ago they did all the tom bakers up to the
seeds of doom

i saw this on the sc-fi channel on sky
a few years ago. i will wait for this to go down in price since its not that
importent to me as others such as the creature from the pit or the chase
because i have not seen them be for

Good News!!!! IVE GOT this and it was a great story, I real enjoyed this and it is an example of what Doctor is truly meant to be: good. I cant remember why but when I was first finding out about this story I remember thinking this wasnt the one for me, but I cant remember why that was!
I would recomend you this story, some great acting at the end when Tom Baker just cant help but smile at his own impression of (was his name?) Hieronomous.

I am thinking of getting this, at first i some how got the impression this was not the episode for me, but after seeing the trailer on Youtube and reading a little about it I think I might possibly see if i can arrange something…..a little increase in the weight of my wallet, a little trip down to HMV, and shazam!
But first, I will need to read one or two or afew reviews…
