Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com

For the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, what could be better for collectors than his ultimate foe in truly British styling; Character unveils its Doctor Who 12-inch British Icon Dalek

ultimate Doctor Who collectable 12-inch Dalek has been produced exclusively in Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary year. Beautifully displayed in the Union Flag, it celebrates the Daleks as a British icon and is ideal gift for all Doctor Who fans. This limited edition freewheeling Dalek features poseable arm, head and eye while us having the ability to voice 10 Dalek phrases with lights and sound FX.

The Daleks were created by the Kaled scientist, Davros as travel machines. Davros had deduced that the years of radiation and chemical poisoning from an ongoing war would lead his race to mutate into immobile organisms. The Dalek travel machines would house these creatures and allow the Kaleds to survive.

In the course of his experiments however, Davros deliberately removed what he considered to be debilitating emotions from the mutants and a force of evil was spawned!

Suitable for ages 5 years and over it will be a must have for the many generations of fans that the Timelord has gained in the past 5 decades.

One of my favourite dalek figures I know it may look a bit too silly for some people but its nice to have a dalek that’s different to the other dalek figures

Forbidden planet have just delivered my Union Jack Dalek, they must now be in stock in the fp shops.

It’s much bigger than I thought it would be. The corner of the box on my one is dented where its been dropped which is very annoying.

Overall though, I love it and can’t wait to get the Stars and Stripes Dalek (Starlek) to go with it.

I tell you what would be nice, if it said stereotypical English things to say, as it has the Union Jack design… well I say ‘nice’ I mean funny!

I agree I was disappointed it wasn’t remote control but otherwise it’s great. After a quick run round the carpet all my other remote control untils go in a draw and then everytime I walk pat the “dalek” shelf I select the voice button on each dalek to chant in unison. Great fun trying to get them to chant the same phrase at the same time.

This looks awesome!! Although i think it’s a tiny bit pricey so I think I’ll wait until 2014 when the price will drop. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great product, but usually with these types of things the price drops a lot after whatever promotion it encourages, for example loads of the London 2012 merchandise are better than half price in most stores.

it might not be out in 2014 as it is a limited edition so once it is gone it is gone and it is only limited to ten thousand
and if anything the price will be higher in 2014 because they will be more rare

so you best get it earlier
