Due for release on 03/05/2010

The Doctor and Romana receive a distress signal and arrive on Chloris, a lush and verdant world that has only small quantities of metals, all of which are controlled by its ruler, Lady Adrasta.

Adrasta keeps order with the aid of her Huntsman and his wolfweeds – mobile balls of vegetationwhile a band of scruffy thieves, led by Torvin, organize raids on her palace to steal whatever metal they can.

The Doctor identifies the distress signal’s source as a large eggshell-like structure in the forest.

He is taken prisoner By Adrasta’s guards and, in order to escape, leaps into the Pit – the entrance to a cave system into which all who incur Adrasta’s wrath are consigned to be devoured by an immense green globular creature living within.

Can the Doctor escape from the creature of the Pit and save Chloris? Originally transmitted in 1979.

Special Features Include: Commentaries, Behind the Scenes, Makings of, Photo Gallery, Storyboards and Subtitles.

“THE SUN MAKERS IS WORSE THAN THIS!”
Oh I disagree with thaat WHODUDE, both the Sunmakers AND the CFTP are on my to-get-on-DVD list, even though the SM isnt available yet. But you can open your eyes to what there is to be observed and see that youre way of seing things is but pretense and cannot define anything. Nothing is the best, or worst (apart from the dreaded cheapster chav TopBrand clothes suppliers RIVERISLAND). And more importantly, if anything in Dr Who is to the disliking of ANYONE its for a reason, its ours alone shared.

Am I right in saying that ‘Silver Nemesis’ has never been released in its original episodic from, only as a special edition?

  13. Posted by: McGann is The Doctor. May 13th, 2010 Reply

Yippee, Ive always wanted the Silver Nemesis. And as for the
Creature from the Pit, I can once again say the most popular phrase in the merchandise section of this website: IM GETTING THIS.

Erato is coming to get you, unless the Doctor can get him first! Sound like a good story? You betcha! (I really dont think Ill say “You betcha” ever again, its a terrible catch phrase and sounds so mid-nineties and corny.)
