I always thought extremist and pyramid were part of a 3 parter? The fact that they have the same monster in the hexagon is a giveaway. Why not have Bill or Nardole?

Same here. Why is it being treated as 3 seperate stories?

Is there any word on whether the collection will be maintained (even on an irregular basis) after the original 90 issue run has ended?

They have said they won’t be carrying on due to issue 90 being finished before series 11 starts. There is simply no time to research and write series 11 stories

Just to clarify, I meant is there any plan to keep this up to date ongoing (say 3 – 4 issues a year)?

I would love that! I always thought it was a bit pointless calling it ‘The Complete History’ as it would never be complete so to speak

Personally I think it’s probably the best place to end it. Those that have been working on these have been working pretty much 4 years straight on these. They deserve a break and an opportunity to work on something else. If they carried them on they wouldn’t never get the chance to do other things. They would be constantly working on them every year. There has to be a line for them somewhere. At least It’s not during the middle of a run they are stopping. However they probably will cover jodie’s era if hachette decides to have another go around with the complete history. The marvel graphic novels are currently on their second go around so hachette have a history of rereleasing things. I’d also imagine the bbc will also want an updated version with up to date info and the current logo as well.

‘Extremis’ is my favourite story in this book. Unfortunately, this was the peak of the ‘monk’ trilogy for me. Each episode after got progressively worse and didn’t improve until ‘Empress of Mars’ came along.
