Just received the final graphic novel. Have they announced what happens with the extended range? Will there be a 7th graphic novel or do we get the final bunch at the normal rate?

Yes, a picture of the extended spine image has been floating around on the internet (I think you can see it on Gallifrey Base forum, in their thread for The Complete History).

It’s the Tardis basically, in front of a big Seal of Rassilon.

Webley like a poor version of Roald Dahl’s Wonka, Warwick Davis as Porridge seemingly bored, Smith’s awful good v evil (shows just how much better Troughton is at this sort of thing (watch ‘Enemy of the World’)), the platoon from ‘Balamory’, and those kids…enough reasons to dislike this story.

It’s a shame really, as ‘The Doctor’s Wife’ by the same writer was very good. The ideas behind ‘Nightmare in Silver’ were good, but the direction, casting and overall approach was all wrong.

I read somewhere this issue was supposed to be Volume 7 (William Hartnell) does this mean it is going to be swapped, if so why, was it delayed or needed further editing. Also will issue 72 still be a Jon Pertwee Volume?

What’s happened is that they have extended from 80 issues to 90 so that they will now Include ALL Peter Capaldi’s episodes (up to Twice Upon a Time). But rather than have a block of all 10 extension issues being wall-to-wall Capaldi, they have moved things around. Issues 70, 72, and 74 (at least) are now 12th Doctor. Volume 7 the Hartnell book is now going to be Issue 73

    All bad stories
I think the crimson horror is watchable until half way through, then it went downhill
Then Nightmare in Sliver is just wrong,
and the name of the doctor is just build up with more questions than it answers

Yeah, The Crimson Horror was great until Mr Sweet was revealed. Although the scene when Mrs Gillyflower betrayed and disowned her daughter was a good scene.

‘The Name of the Doctor’ is my favourite story in this book. ‘Nightmare in Silver’ however is awful, featuring a platoon more suited to ‘Balamory’ than ‘Doctor Who’. An embarrassment.

That was the point of the platoon though, you were supposed to feel that way. I actually love Nightmare.

Nightmare was awful with Matt Smith’s cringy evil acting and whipping his face back and fourth and jumping around like a weirdo

Nightmare in Silver is probably the worst episode of Nu-Who to date.

I actually liked ‘The Rings of Akhatem’. Very underrated.
