This coupling included the Xmas specials right.
    They are central to storyline

I just got the first group set having missed Infinity Quest , Dreamland and The End Of Time. Bought the 12th having missed Bill`s run. Will get the 11th to add the 50th special Day Of The Doctor.

I have a question. I just bought this set and there is no insert listing the contents for the discs. Should I have gotten one? If not, does anyone know where I can find a list?
    Thanks in advance.

They should make these budget releases for classic who on dvd
For people who don’t want to buy blu ray and just include no extras

Does this include the Doctor Who confidential or any sort of bonus features?

It’s a budget release with just the episodes
Basically rose to the end of time

Anyone know what kind of discs they are using to fit 4 x 13 x 45+ episodes plus 8 specials onto 12 discs

More of a question here than a reply. Does anybody know if the Christmas specials and specials like Water of Mars are included in the sets.

They obviously are in the set.

This release would HAVE to be the DVD boxsets with original discs on a big slipbox. 4 seasons and 5 more specials on 12 discs??? you’re out of your mind, BBC Studios/BBC America. 28 discs is the only count I’m accepting with this set.

Also add in Martha and Donna…and the RTD era logo would be nice

They’re not adding the RTD logo that’s the whole point of these releases – to market Doctor Who’s new branding style.

It’s just the episodes. No extras. No children in need or Red Nose Day specials (so no born again or time crash)

Covers are striking but order-wise “David Tennant & Christopher Eccleston” is unforgivable!

They fixed it, It’s on the BBC Shop for the new covers. Amazon doesn’t show them yet. Matt Smith’s cover has changed to have his TARDIS.

Sorry, don’t care to pay cash for nothing. When the internet gets slowed down or crashes I still have my physical media:) also the generator says hahaha to the electric going out.

No they’ve been available as series sets on DVD in the US before. Not just on Digital.

Swap Tennant and Ecclestons names around on the cover. 9 comes before 10

I might bite for this. I have the complete Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi on Blu-Ray. Most of this run wasn’t shot in HD, just the last four specials. (Counting The End of Time as two.)

My only question is why does it say it’s only 12 discs on Amazon? You’re looking at 60 episodes. A dual layer DVD can hold nearly 4 hours of video, which is roughly 4 episodes, but you might be able to get 5 on there with certain encoding methods. That would be 12 DVDs with 5 episodes each, but say goodbye to all the bonuses.

you could fit 5 episodes on a 4 hour disc

They’re using DVD18s and no extras. Not even the Confidentials. Which makes me believe we might get series boxsets of full episodes of Confidential.

Wish they’d release all of Tennant’s seasons on blu-ray! They released Eccleston’s on Blu-ray and had plans for Tennant’s, then it seemed that it got scraped. 🙁

At least, not in the US. The only time they released them all in blu-ray was the Complete Series 1-7 boxset. It’s pretty rare and you won’t find one to buy at a reasonable price.

The covers are a little cooler now that I realize the backgrounds connect the two sets!

I don’t like this design, David looks like he’s been flipped. The images they’ve chosen just don’t seem to work as a design. They needed 9 and 10 back to back at the top of the page and then companions and monsters below them 50th anniversary poster style

Tennant is not flipped. It’s the same photo as on the Series 3 DVD Boxset.

If this were to come to the UK, £40 is pretty cheap for Series 1-4 plus specials

Okay I have a few issues about the design choice of this. 1) I get why they put Chris and David together but I’d rather the listing of their name was the other way round. 2) Again I get that Rose was the mutual companion, but… Martha and Donna deserve to be there? Otherwise, you can really tell from the cover that this is aimed at the American audience.
