    that sounds confusing some bloke! Always liked Steven as a companion, but I despise The Savages. One of the worst Doctor who stories I have personally ever listened to on audio.

      He means that it’s about Steven telling a story that occurred before ‘The Savages’.

      yeah, so, Steven has left the doctor and now he’s telling someone a story set before The Savages

    So, is this a follow on from the end of the The Savages?

      Well, in it, Steven is telling a story of one of his adventures with the Doctor. At this point, he has left the Doctor, so yes it is set AFTER The Savages, but the story he is telling is set just before The Savages, so it is also set BEFORE the Savages.
