Underground Toys are pleased to announce the details of their 2010 San Diego Comic Con exclusive classic Doctor Who items – The 5th Doctor in Regeneration Outfit and The 5th Doctor & The Master from Planet of Fire

THE FIFTH DOCTOR

His youthful appearance belied his wisdom and experience, but this Doctor still found it frustrating that so many people questioned his judgement, especially his companions. While on an alien planet he and his companion Peri contracted a disease and the Doctor gave Peri the only cure, necessitating another regeneration…

THE MASTER from ‘PLANET OF FIRE’

The Fifth Doctor and Turlough are on the island of Lanzarote because the TARDIS has detected a mysterious signal being transmitted from an unknown, recently salvaged artefact. They meet a young American botany student named Peri Brown, whose stepfather has been replaced with a shape changing robot as part of a plot by the Master. He plans to bring the TARDIS to the planet Sarn, so he can use that world’s revitalising Numismaton gas to restore his body, accidentally shrunken in an accident. The Master is apparently defeated when the stream of gas turns to a hot flame. The Doctor destroys the shape changing robot, Kamelion, at the robot’s own bidding as it has become completely unstable. Turlough leaves to return home, while Peri leaves with the Doctor.

In this exclusive set from Underground Toys we present the Master from ‘Planet of Fire’ and the Fifth Doctor. The Fifth Doctor includes his cream Panama hat and comes with a Sonic Screwdriver accessory.

Hard to believe this came out over two years ago.

Make a proper outfit for Anthony Ainley already ! They’ve just re-used the John Simm body.

Why not have a 1980s Master and Masters Tardis set from Timeflight? That would be Splendid as a Toy-set. 💡

Or release Nyssa with AA MASTER from the Keeper of Tracken (my least favourite episode ever) just after hes taken over her father.

We need this (Anthony Ainley) Master in the classic outfit – the one in various episodes like Logopolis, The Five DOctors, and others.

you know the master with this set and the one from series 3 well they have near anothe the same costume so its good because if you are doing a figure adventures you and you have both masters you could make it look like the Delgado Master and the guy from life on mars master look like he regenerates in to him a just notised that is that cool or what 🙂

I got a 5th doctor figure last year. It probally was from wave 1 of classic figures and it doesnt have a stick of celery, hat or cricket ball. 🙁 But it came with a sonic screwdriver 😀 The sonic wasnt used much in the newer episodes of the classic series because it got destroyed. I cant remember what episode it was so i am going to find out after i type these words now. I do think that master figure is just a re release of john simms suit but i dont mind because im not getting this set. I get series five figures. Erm see you in a minute
