RubberToe Replicas The Power of Three Cube

rt-cubesRubberToe Replicas The Power of Three Cube

“We don’t know how they got here, what they’re made of or why they’re here”
– Kate Stewart

Well, now we do! These are an exact replica of the cubes used by the Shakri in the episode ‘The Power of Three’ to attempt to destroy the human race.

They are made using the same moulds, the same materials and the same techniques as the screen used prop. The only small improvement we have made is to put a little felt on the bottom to protect your surfaces. The cubes are good and weighty too so they make an attractive paperweight.

They are also very tactile; you won’t be able to put them down! And the best bit is that you can have loads of fun freaking people out by leaving them around the place!

The cubes come in their own Doctor Who themed gift box.

Are you able to remove the felt without damaging the cube?

To be honest, I would prefer them without the felt, so that you could use all 7 sides.

Actually, 6 sides. Lol. They don’t seem to actually open up, so the inside doesn’t count as the seventh. 🙂

to be honest, yes they are expensive, yes they are just cubes, and yes they seem silly, but i really love them, and i think they are quite unusual, will probably buy one, but not for a while, may wait until one appears on ebay

$37.99? A bit pricey but still, it’s Doctor Who & i’ll spend my money on a Doctor Who gift no matter how much it is. I am going to buy 3 of them which will cost $113.97 but i don’t care since it’s Doctor Who.

Find this a large price to pay, I know that collectors buy it as memorabilia, but I just stick with the character electronic toys. They are a lot cheaper, and there isn’t much different. It is only a cube really.

This would be good, but for £37.99!?!?!?!

I knew they would make these as soon as I saw the episode, I knew they would sell them for an extremely expensive price!

£37.99 for 1 plain black cube? isn’t that a bit…steep? I understand the fact they’re manufactured in the same way etc. but still. Seems an awful lot.

I think that might’ve been CGI.

      February 16th, 2013 - 3:44pm

Thought so. 😛 The numbers were definitely CGI, but I”m not sure about the side that opened. I guess it must have been. I’m surprised Character hasn’t brought out an electronic toy version, since they did release the Time Lord cube.

      February 16th, 2013 - 5:17pm

I’m surprised Character didn’t just spray the Time Lord Cube’s Black but just with a number visible?

I would buy one – Considering it would be lit from inside – Unlike the prop…
