Robert Harrop Doctor Who The Malus 1984

Available to order from www.robertharrop.com

Robert Harrop Designs have been creating collectable hand painted figurines for over 30 years and have gained a well earned reputation of high quality and accuracy of detail.

Their extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few. A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios!

  • A Limited Edition Handpainted figurine / statue from the Doctor Who Collection
  • Designed and Sculpted in Shropshire, England by Robert Harrop Designs
  • Official BBC License. Each piece is approved by the Doctor Who television production team at BBC Wales in Cardiff. Additionally, the Doctors are approved by the actors themselves
  • Individually hand numbered with a unique number on the base
  • Comes complete in a presentation box with information card and a Certificate of Authenticity!

In partnership with the BBC, Harrpos have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted Doctor Who figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions.

There’s a discrepancy in the limited edition amounts on its page on Robert Harrop’s website. It says 250 in one place and only 150 in another…

No it won’t be the Gold Membership gift which was the original intention but due to the intricate detail of the sculpt they are now releasing it as a normal release.

They are now playing with the idea of releasing K9 as the Gold Member gift but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

I was thinking that this looked a bit too detailed for a free gift

The Malus won’t but you will get the K9 figurine as the free gift if you are a Gold Member if they do decide to go ahead with it’s release. The guys on the RH stall at the recent Excel comic con advised that they are considering K9 as the free gift but nothing has been confirmed yet but it’s won’t be the Malus as originally planned.

I think this is the unexpected gem of the latest releases…remember this version appeared in the TARDIS briefly… I suspect the Malus in the church wont be far behind……

I’m really pleased they did this, not something I’d have thought to get into my collection but as soon as I saw it I thought it was a great idea to be making something less obvious. 😀

I find it odd that they did this version of it rather than the big face on the wall, I would definitely get it them because it wouldn’t be far off an accurate scale for 5 inch
