Figurine Collection (Test Area) 01 The Eleventh Doctor

Figurine Collection (Test Area) 01 The Eleventh Doctor

Celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who this fantastic new figurine collection. The series draws from every era show and includes all eleven versions of the Doctor plus his greatest monsters.

All the figurines are carefully produced in 1:21 scale, and cast in a specially formulated metallic resin before being painted by hand and individually numbered.

The specially formulated resin and high quality sculpting allow the figurines to reproduce an incredible level of detail right down to the mesh in the Silurian Warrior’s uniform and the controls on Davros’s console.

Each figurine recreates a specific moment from the TV series in loving detail and every sculpt is based on detailed study of the original production photography, props and drawings.

The collection features several different versions of the Daleks and Cybermen allowing you to trace their evolution over the years.

This is the definitive Doctor Who figurine collection.

Since it will last for 52 issues (1 figurine per issue, 2 issues per month) Assuming I get 50$ for Birthdays and Christmas, as well as the issues, I will get the subscriptions.
It is obvious that I can go with 1.50 extra on each issue, I will go with premium, also, first issue will cost 6$, therefore, I would like to submit the appeal to let me subscribe.

Is the dalek set just an extra pound per dalek you get e.g £8 total or an extra pound per issue, regardless if you get a special dalek with that issue?

I’ve heard that there is some kind of questionaire included with the magazine asking people what sorts of figures they are interested in seeing.

Does anyone have a copy of the list of figures? I’d be interested to see what they are potentially considering for the future, as only a couple of them have been mentioned elsewhere.

Please pick the five characters you would most like to collect as figurines, ranked from one to five:

      The Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith)
      The Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)
      Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)
      Weeping Angel
      Silurian
      Sontaran
      Davros
      Vashta Narada
      Silent
      Modern ‘Bronze’ Dalek
      Zygon
      First Dalek
      Ood
      Judoon
      Ice Warrior
      Captain Jack
      Rose

In future, Doctor Who The Figurine Collection may publish special limited edition issues. How interested would you be in the
      following?

      Slitheen
      The Beast
      Giant Robot
      The TARDIS
      The Face of Boe
      Sarah Jane and K-9

They also ask which is you favourite era

There is also a series guide with images of each Doctor and Monsters with them which i think some may have thought they are the figures they are including

The list is very 2005+ heavy and cant see what this would achieve, especially as they have said it will include all the Doctors anyway and Davros, weeping Angels,The eleventh Doctor and Silurians have already been sculpted

They could be considering vainats for the future, like a “classical” Weeping Angel, classic Davros, classic Siluiran and the likes.

Or it could be just for preparing the order of the issues and what quanities to produce for the early issues, if some are highly popular and some are not, they might want to try and space them out slightly better and get a good mix.

      4. Allon-sy
      5. Allon-sy
      6. Possibly.
Also, anonymous, there is no “classical” Weeping Angel.

    • Anonymous

      February 25th, 2013 - 12:05am

“Classical” is the term used by the production team (the choreographers in particular) to refer to the Weeping Angel’s non-feral state, take a note you never know when that will come up in a quiz.

Although it probablly wasn’t best to get technical if you then go on to talk about classic monsters straight after it as it could lead to confusion (as it did in this case).
