Now Live Watch Here New B&M Sets Unboxing Video

Comments are disabled on all B&M posts so they can be concentrated in the Stocks Arrive thread.

As usual there will be a separate page for each set with images, we will add the product codes (which in some cases differ this year) when stocks are on their way to stores.

There will also be a general “stocks arrive” post to help visitors locate items.

Character Options shares details of new B&M Stores Doctor Who line-up

Following confirmation in June of a new series of exclusive Doctor Who toys for local B&M Stores in the UK (UK variety retailer), Character Options is delighted to reveal to fans the entire collection.

The collection was unveiled on Character Options’ own YouTubechannel on 30/07/2019 via an unboxing-style video presented by the firm’s Creative Director Al Dewar. In the video viewers were treated to a detailed review of the range which consists of three figures sets featuring Daleks and the awesome TARDIS.

The Seventh Doctor Collector Figure Set is a three articulated figure set Including The Doctor wearing his cream jacket, jumper and ubiquitous plaid trousers. His duo ofvillains include the Cyberman and Cyberleadereach with Cybergun accessories.

The Two Doctors Collector Figure set is from the episode entitled the Two Doctors and includes Second Doctor as Androgum as played by Patrick Troughton, the companion and American college student Perpugilliam (Peri) Brown and the villain of the episode, the Sontaran, Group Marshal Stike.

The Sontarans Collector Figure Set
also features this fearful enemy and includes Lieutenant Harry Sullivan – one of the companions of the Fourth Doctor, plus two Sontarans – Field Major Styre, and Commander Lynx. Accessoriesinclude Sontaran helmets and blasters.

The TARDIS is a much loved piece in every Doctor Who collection and this latest launch includes two sets to collect that feature this essential Time Travelling Machine with opening doors

The Fifth Doctor and TARDIS from Caves of Androzani–Produced in 5.5 inch scale and has the Fifth Doctor played by Peter Davison and the somewhat travel weary police box TARDIS that has returned from the Caves of Androzani as in the 6th episode in Season 21 where the Doctor willingly undergoes a regeneration to save his companion!

The Fourth Doctor and TARDIS from Shada Collector Figure Set –is as seen in the final, long delayed, episode of Series 17. Shada is the secret Time Lord’s Prison and it is with much trepidation that the Doctor, as played by Tom Baker, must make a visit.

Three Doctor and Dalek sets have also been created inspired by popular Big Finishaudio episodes including:

The Eighth Doctor and Dalek Interrogator Prime Action Figure Set –showsthe fully articulated Doctor dressed in jeans and double breasted jacket and the Dalek Interrogator he faces when captured in the episode.

The War Doctor and Dalek Scientist Action Figure Set –has the Doctor as played by John Hurt in the War Doctor Audio episodes, the Dalek included is a scientist and works independently of High Command.

The Seventh Doctor and Axis Strike Squad Dalek Action Figure Set –features the Time Lord as played by Sylvester McCoy in the Gallifrey VI Series. He must help regain Gallifrey and defeat the bronzed Daleks that have taken over the AXIS.

Al Dewar, commented: “It was huge fun to reveal by video the entire new collection. We are incredibly proud of this summer 2019 line up and believe that the fans will be equally delighted with each product that are to be launched. Our loyal following of collectors are always keen to gain a first glimpse of what’s new and doing this in such a personal style was important to us. The next stage is to see the range in store!”

Sets will be available in B&M stores from Late August

Is the book seen on the box of the 4th doctor Tardis set a accessory or a bit of card board.

Do you think the old stuff will have any further reductions before the new ones come in?

    • booboo

      August 1st, 2019 - 5:01pm

they might although if i were B&M i would wait now, the new sets might help sell the old, having said that things are bit more complicated then that, the Tardis sets all have the same code so the “older” 4th Doctor set will have to go back up to £19.99 before the new ones arrive.

So you know the codes, booboo?

    • booboo

      August 1st, 2019 - 6:47pm

yes i do but I’m not going to list them until the stock arrives (which it hasn’t) otherwise B&M will get inundated with calls for something they don’t have yet.

other people know its up to them what they do.

Hoping they will reveal the Sonic Screwdriver re-releases packaging before release.

Yeah, I would’ve thought they would’ve been revealed in the video released but obviously not. I do need to get my hands on those sonics, my sonic collection is a bit bare.

Does anyone know if the regenerated 4th doctor set is still available and any stores that have it in stock

    • booboo

      July 31st, 2019 - 10:21pm

there are a lot around and they are £10 at the moment but that wont be for long, just ring and they should be able to tell you the nearest store to you who has them

One of my local branches stubbornly refuse to reduce the 4th Doctor Tardis below £19.99 resulting in them still having a tonne of the them not shifting. I worry this will give them an misleading impression of the popularity of these and they won’t order any of the new ones. This happened with the 9th doctor set as well. Luckily I have another branch that is not afraid to discount.

      August 2nd, 2019 - 5:39am

the price drop to £10 is universal and cant be altered from store to store as its done from the central computer

they just haven’t changed the shelf price if you take on to the till it will go through at £10

I’m honestly overjoyed at this. Now we have ALL the classic Sontarans in figure form! 3 out of the 4 of which are being re-released this year!

I haven’t bought any figures in a while, but I may just have to pick these up. The dilemma I have is this: There’s nothing to do with them. They’ll just gather dust in my room. Should I still go ahead and get them anyway folks?

It all depends on popularity as well near each B&M, stores with not many buyers of these figures will no doubt keep stock longer than those with stores who’ll most likely shift a lot of the stock where there are more fans. I’ve been able to go to my local store a few times and have the stock of all figure sets there on more than one occasion of going in. Went in to one store slightly more out and had various sets from 2017, 2018 and this year all at once so all depends really and just hope for the best.

It would be good in my opinion if B&M did a new series range in Feb because Series 12 is supposed to be on and they’ve already got the scuplts for variants to be made.

I’m expecting that like last year we’ll get some more classic figures in Feb but maybe they’ll be better now as opposed to just a re-release of the summer ones due to how much they’ve increased the range this year.

    • booboo

      July 31st, 2019 - 3:14pm

these take a long time to plan, ultimately its up to B&M when they want stock and there are much bigger quantities of these yo get thorugh this time

Sort of predicted that order. Surprised the silver nemesis set isn’t as popular.

I suppose as the 8th doctor dalek set was already previously announced it’s hard to tell it’s popularity compared to the others.

    • booboo

      July 31st, 2019 - 3:46pm

yes, welcome as it is the Silver Nemesis is the only one not to contain anything “new” so i suppose i would have expected that.

      July 31st, 2019 - 4:02pm

So happy with these sets 😀

This summer I’m going to try and get:
    5th Doc & TARDIS
    Sontaran Set
    Silver Nemesis Set

and try and persuade my bf to get me either 2 Docs or 8th & Doc ;P (I can’t decide haha)

Then to persuade my family to get me Shada, Movie 7th and either of the remaining from above for Christmas 😛

I’m not so fussed about the War Doc, but might try and get his Dalek loose

My predictions/ hopes for next year are…

    12th Doctor Clara Painted TARDIS

and 8th Doctor or 1st Doctor TARDIS

Booboo do we know if this is it for this year now or wil there be more in the Autumn (hopefully not my bank account can’t take it haha)

Soz for the long message guys

    • booboo

      July 31st, 2019 - 2:42pm

No haha I mean will they be releasing more new figures after this wave this year? Or will the next wave (if made, fingers crossed) be more likely 2020. Thank you 🙂

I’ll definitely try to get the two Tardis sets and all the Dalek twin packs, I really like the silver nemesis set as well.

I think I’m going to need a Tardis to store my collection in as my house is literally bursting at the seams as it is plus we’ll hopefully have the 13th Dr’s Tardis soon too.

Sorry odd question. With the additional two TARDISes we have had 7 classic releases and numerous new series. Would someone who likes their TARDISes be able to give me a list of the most accurate TARDIS release for every doctor?

      July 31st, 2019 - 11:39am

Well there’s only 1 set for the first doctors tardis which will cost you a bomb. If I were you I’d wait for next year as there’s a chance they might do it then.
For the second doctor there isn’t an official release but it’s very similar to the 4th doctor one.
The third doctor has had the b&m release
The 4th doctor has had an old co release and two b&m releases. The original is more expensive but probably the most accurate.
The 5th doctor one were getting this year.
The 6th doctor just use the 5th doctor one.
There was a 7th doctor released by character but it will probably be expensive online.
