Lego Dimensions Trailer with ALL The Doctors

Highlights of the Dr. Who expansion for Lego Dimensions include:

  • All of the Doctors will be playable in Lego form, even the War Doctor. When your character dies, you’ll regenerate as the first Doctor then cycle through the series again.
  • Depending on which Doctor you play as, the interior of your TARDIS will change — playing as the first Doctor will give you an old-school, black-and-white time machine.
  • A jukebox in the TARDIS will let you choose whichever version of the Dr. Who theme you want.
  • Peter Capaldi (Dr. Who), Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald), and Michelle Gomez (Missy) will also lend their voices to game.
  • Other playable characters available for purchase as physical Lego Minifigs include a Cyberman, Dalek, and K-9.

Doctor Who, which has never before been in a LEGO videogame, will be playable in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack with a complete Doctor Who level where the game’s heroes continue their quest while encountering Daleks, Cybermen and other adversaries from the Whoniverse.

Fans who want more Doctor Who in LEGO Dimensions will be able to purchase the Doctor Who Level Pack which includes an additional mission-based Doctor Who level, along with a LEGO minifigure of the 12th Doctor and LEGO models of the TARDIS and K-9, all playable in the game.

When the 12th Doctor is defeated in the level, he returns as the 1st Doctor and then regenerates back up to the 12th Doctor again. The interior of the TARDIS will reflect the corresponding Doctor the player embodies or can be manually selected. There’s even a jukebox inside where players can choose among different versions of the Doctor Who theme music. The TARDIS and K-9 models can each be physically built and then rebuilt twice to do entirely different things in the digital game for massive variety.

There will also be a Doctor Who Fun Pack, which includes a playable Cyberman minifigure and Dalek model which can be physically built and then rebuilt twice for a total of three different objects.

Launching September 27, 2015, LEGO Dimensions will be available for Xbox One, the all-in one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation4 and PlayStation3 computer entertainment systems and the Wii U system from Nintendo.

I’ve been playing the LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 of late, and there are six levels per film, with four films being used in the game, making a total of 24 levels. Now, if we were to go off that alone – say we WERE to one day get a LEGO Doctor Who game, they could do two levels per Doctor, based on two of their episodes, and maybe even throw in special Day of the Doctor level for the War Doctor.

I was thinking, level-wise, you could have:
1 – The Daleks & The Tenth Planet
2 – The Ice Warriors & The Tomb of the Cybermen
3 – Spearhead from Space & Doctor Who and the Silurians
4 – The City of Death and Terror of the Zygons
5 – The Five Doctors & The Caves of Androzani
6 – Vengeance on Varos & Trial of a Timelord
7 – Remembrance of the Daleks & Survival
8 – The TV Movie & Night of the Doctor (or, if they want to be creative and work from scratch visually, Dark Eyes…)
9: Aliens of London & The Empty Child
10: Blink & The End of Time
11: Vincent and the Doctor & Time of the Doctor
12: Deep Breath & Death in Heaven

and then you could have one long Day of the Doctor level too, maybe after completing all the other 24 levels? Or, you could have two War Doctor levels, being:
War: Day of the Doctor & Engines of War (again, like Dark Eyes, they’d have to work from scratch visually…)

      a clever idea

I think that the 1st two doctor episode choices are cool, for some of the others you could have some alternate ones to introduce CLASSIC monsters to the next gen of kids into Who…

      3rd: DW & the Silurians/The Sea Devils.

4th: Time Warrior (You need Sontarans somewhere XD)/City of Death

I think up to the 8th are some really good choices.

9th: Rose with Bad Wolf and PoTW condensed into one.

10th: Doomsday with either End of Time or Stolen Earth and Journey’s End condensed

11th: The Lodger/Time of the Doctor

12th: The Caretaker with Dark Water and Death in Heaven condensed into one.

I think they could work it a lot more like the Star Wars original trilogy or Indiana Jones ones and add extras like the War Doctor, Peter Cushing (despite not being canon) maybe even some gag characters like Rowan Atkinson, or Colin Baker, Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy as themselves for an extra of “The Five(ish) Doctors” XD (as the Indiana jones lego game had Han Solo as a joke on Harrison Ford)

Personally, I suspect they’d be more likely to go along the lines of their super hero stuff and have an original storyline than remake episodes (maybe have a select few as DLC).

Really nice trailer. Looking foward to these. I really like the feature where it’s basically 13 characters into one, but it’s a shame we can’t get the other doctors in lego form. Looking at the dalek emperor makes me think a dalek emperor set would work really well.

    Here is the big question

would Lego feature figures in a game that are not available to buy?

I believe so, Booboo! They do this all the time, good old Lego haha! The 12th doctor that is currently in the fun pack is different from the Lego Ideas sets that have been announced. (They will probs be out next year by the way, as the Big Bang Theory set won last year and only today it has been released), the design is different and so is the Doctor! This is a way Lego gets people to buy them, and that less duplicates are made.

Also, about the release for the Doctor Who Lego Ideas set (this is just my theory! And as a long term Lego collector I pretty much know how Lego likes to release their sets) I wouldn’t say it will be released this year, and its for sure not going to be revealed at Comic Con as the Lego booth would have done so by now. I want to say summer next year, which seems pretty late. So anything before that is a reasonable guess. We might see it released in time for Christmas, as Lego has an entire line to reveal at that time, and the summer line has pretty much been released now. The Ideas sets are really frustrating to predict!

its actually quite strange, as a company i would have thought they (Lego) would be a lot more uniform in release information and pre orders.

Doctor Who Lego dimensions is all over the place, they are linking to a site where only the USA side have it for pre order yet in the UK Smyths have it for pre order and no where else

I expected a much more level playing field than this.

I am hoping they will release a normal LEGO Doctor Who game like they have for Harry Potter, Star Wars and more before it. This looks great, but is very expensive. Whereas an actual LEGO Doctor Who game will be much much cheaper .
