This and other items in the range are available direct from www.lakeland.co.uk or Lakeland on Amazon

Lakeland have recently launched a new range of Doctor Who products and one of the most intriguing items shown was the Dalek cake stand with many asking “can you use it to display figures” – well the answer is a great big yes.

The product if very well printed and extremely easy to put together and measures a very impressive 30 x 32 x 49cm H. (12″ x 12½” x 19¼”). Its bigger then you might think.

Once assembled its very sturdy and consists of 4 levels each with 3 “compartments” and the top tier so you are able do display a great number of items. Five inch figures fit on the 3rd level.

Needless to say when its full of various products it really does make a very impressive display stand. The eye moves up and down and the gun and plunder move form side to side.

That’s good to hear, I wasn’t sure if it would be strong enough for the heavier figures but it seems to handle quite well

Including Booboo, that’s 8 very positive comments which I am very pleased to see.

Despite it being the 50th anniversary, the profile of Doctor Who has undoubtedly slipped from many shops, and it is great to see a more premium high street store having a merchandise range. I for one will be off tomorrow to try and get “one of everything”. Very timely as I booked a day off earlier in the week.

This range shows a gain in confidence from the high street in the Doctor Who brand. Therefore, strategically, it is well worth supporting.
