I have had this from argos, and must say, very poor quality. It was played with and the arms wouldnt go in again. Took back for an exchange. Had the same problem, so all in all, very bad quality and complete waste of money.

Shame the blaster couldn’t have been River’s but there are copyright issues because of the Nerf parts… still you think they could have replicated a weapon from the series.

This reminds me of something i saw several years ago at a holiday destination (not sure if i can say the place here). It was a plastic black car with a picture of David Tennant and called the Cyber Controller’s car, “just like the one in the series”.

At no point in the show have i seen a Cyberman drive a car, same with this, at no point in the series have i seen someone point a lime green plastic gun at a Cyberman to make its arms pop off or after 9 shots, cause it to fall down ‘dead’.

Just a way for Character to make more money.

However. This is just my opinion and a lot of you seem to like it, so im probably in a minority.

Ive looked at the stuff on the link, i have seen that helicopter before as well, think the price was £40! Just in my opinion, the Cyberman just looks like its part of a wave of unofficial merchandise.

Like i say, its just my opinion. Guaranteed, theres loads of kids/adult collectors that will want it so that they can help the Doctor during role play, but it doesnt seem that good.

Yeah, there’s alot of these things around, the design of the gun and way the arms pop off makes me think that this is a direct remold of something else.

For all those wanting a sonic instead of a gun, I may have found a solution! If you have a sonic universal remote, program one of the motions/ buttons with the guns trigger and hey presto! One sonic blasting a Cyberman!

But I suppose if you have a remote control sonic screwdriver you could connect the gun to the sonic It may work that way 🙂

Especially disappointing as it was originally a Sonic Screwdriver which fitted in with the style more.

Yes, but why hasn’t a river songs sonic blaster been made ???

    • booboo

      July 4th, 2015 - 3:27pm

because it would serve no purpose other than “a gun”?

They may have chosen a laser gun for the cyberman as it might appeal to the masses more than a sonic for a “shoot em up”

      Correction – Captain Jack’s Sonic Blaster !!.

It’s said that River discovered Jack’s Blaster somewhere in the Tardis.

River’s gun has served more than “a gun” purpose, it cuts out squares in the wall, doesn’t it..?

Nice to see items like this appearing again. I mean we got stuff like this with the Sonic/Laser screwdriver battle pack and River’s Nano recorder etc which was great for kids to play with. Then stuff like that seemed to stop being produced.
So yeah, looks good and glad to see it!
