12th-hamw

Limited edition numbered Doctor Who collector’s posters up for grabs at Hamleys Stores across the UK

September 2014 will see a very special Doctor Who event take place at five Hamleys Toy Shops in locations around the UK, when a series of uniquely numbered exclusive posters will be available for fans to get their hands on.

The posters are the first and only collector’s posters ever created by the producers of the official Doctor Who figures, Character Options. On each poster the entire collection of 3 ¾ inch figures they have released to date are shown. Only 250 of the posters have been produced for the five Hamleys stores (London Regent Street, Glasgow, Cardiff, Dublin and Manchester) and each is uniquely numbered from 1-250 for authenticity.

The poster has been created to celebrate the launch of the latest series of Doctor Who figures, which have been produced to commemorate the new TV series and the brand new Twelfth Doctor played by Peter Capaldi. With fans always eager to get their hands on any unique Doctor Who memorabilia, they are bound to be popular.

To be eligible fans must purchase an item from Hamleys’ Doctor Who collection. The posters will be available as a free gift with that purchase but only while stocks last. There is no minimum spend, but as the gift is so unique it is restricted to one per customer.

Grant Yuill, Marketing Manager of Hamleys commented; “Our free limited edition Doctor Who poster day is a very exciting event for our shops. Doctor Who has so many fans that like to collect the figures and other memorabilia but now with the chance of owning one of these very exclusive posters we expect there to be a huge demand. What’s more we have an added bonus of 25 goodie bags for fans that come dressed in Doctor Who costume. These will be distributed free of charge on a first come first served basis.”

The posters will be available from the following stores on the selected dates;

· London Regent Street – 20th September 2014 from 9:30am
· Manchester – 20th September 2014 from 9:30am
· Glasgow – 20th September 2014 from 9am
· Cardiff – 27th September 2014 from 9:30am
· Dublin – 28th September from 10am

      Wave 3 then?

They must have a lot of stock in, i mean 250 items is quite a lot when you think about what on some shops shelves at the moment

most of the “poster wanters” will just buy a figure i suspect

Booboo, for Glasgow, it says on here it starts at 9am, but on the Hamleys website it says that the Glasgow one is 12-4pm. Could you clarify which is correct?

Booboo I went back to some of the Pictures of the 3.75 “monster’s” silhueottes from the toy store and I think one of them does look like it could be the Teller from next weeks episode, what do you think? Also, do you mean the 12th Doctor figure isn’t just being released on his own? I thought he was.

      September 16th, 2014 - 8:02pm

yes i though that as soon as i saw it

the 12th doctor (in costume) has been sent separately i gather as it should have been in the last wave but didn’t get approved or something

Do you think it’ll be sent out this week? I imagine Hamley’s would have some to sell along with their release of this poster, at least. But If that’s so I wonder if other places will get stock in too.

i really dont know, if you take any notice of what has been said they should have been here days ago – but for who, Argos, toys r us?

the fact is there is no reliable communication so we see it when we see it basically

as i have said before we have our ear to the ground so whenever and wherever things turn up we will post it

Wonder if they will actually get organised and have sufficient stock for 250 customers, or will we have to fight over a single zygon on the shelf. If CO are organising it, will probably get there to see a sign that says “product delayed, come back in a Month”
