Genesis of the Daleks Collector Set
The Time Lords send the Doctor and his companions to the planet Skaro at a point early in its history to stop the development of the Daleks so that they become less of a threat to the Universe. However, Skaro is currently in the grip of a long war of attrition between the Kaleds and the Thals. The Kaleds’ chief scientist, Davros, deformed and crippled by radiation, has been experimenting to discover the final form into which his race will mutate. He has devised a protective travel machine in which they can continue to survive. This is instantly recognised by the Doctor as a Dalek.
Escaping from the bunker where Davros and his Elite are based, the Doctor and Harry persuade the Kaled leaders to put the Dalek experiments on hold. Davros retaliates by conspiring with the Thals to destroy his own people with a rocket. He then activates his Daleks and orders them to wipe out the Thals. Once this is complete the Daleks seize control, killing the remainder of the Elite and ultimately Davros himself. Thal survivors detonate explosives at the entrance to the bunker, sealing the Daleks inside, but for how long?
In this fantastic set from Underground Toys we present Davros and 2 ‘Genesis’ variant Daleks along with the Fourth Doctor in his dufflecoat.
Available to ship in mid-April.
This set is available to pre-order from forbiddenplanet.com or forbiddenplanet.co.uk

I’ve been wondering which action figure set to get with the “classic” Davros in it; I haven’t yet seen all the episodes to which they relate (only “Destiny of the Daleks”), but I do hope to remedy this soon. I was wondering – could somebody give me some advice as to which one to go for?
Posted by: The Whofan101 January 5th, 2012
I bought the set on Tuesday, and such bad quality (bent eyestalks, Davros’ arm is only just hanging on, bent plungers, uneven shoulder pads) that my Dad has e-mailed asking for a replacement

erm, was this set meant to come with the doc’s sonic screwdriver, cause’ mine didn’t.
Posted by: The Whofan101 January 5th, 2012
No. It’s not there so that the Doctor can hold the Skaro mutant like he did at the end of Part 5
Posted by: SirRoundSound January 5th, 2012
Nope, the set was included with one, as it is shown in the Promotional picture above, Unless I am mistaken?
Posted by: seesaw November 26th, 2011
the best place to get it is from amazon.co.uk to be honest.
Posted by: WhoEleven September 5th, 2011
I was wanting to get this for christmas but havent they stopped making it??
I will be very upset if they have :,(
Posted by: McGann is the Doctor. September 15th, 2011
You can still get this at Forbidden planet it rocks, best Dalek set ever, apart from maybe the Revelation/Remembrance set.
Posted by: ozzysupreme July 24th, 2011
booboo please could you tell me whether the base on the dalek will stay in one piece when i unscrew it, i am wanting to know because this dalek is double based.
Posted by: Adam April 27th, 2011
I haven’t got any classic series Daleks and Davros so this is going to be worth getting and I haven’t got the Sontaran Experiment set which means I haven’t got the Tom Baker variant but if I get this set, complete package for my Tom Baker era
Posted by: McGann is The Doctor. July 13th, 2011
Whatever you do, don’t remove the head of that 4th Doc, it isn’t meant to. Not on this figure.
Posted by: dalek eternal April 26th, 2011
i purchased this set today it is really cool exspecially the mutant davros is cool as he has a removable pannel the two daleks are cool as they are two different varients the extermiantor gun are different colours the doctor is cool as well i also purchased the fifth doctor sddc regeneration outfit at the price of £15.00 and a voc robot for £4.99. my parents got me the sontaran experiment to but i cant open it till my birthday on may the 4th

OMG!!! Why is the destiny davros’ skirt soooooo grey?!?!?!?
Posted by: ozzysupreme April 28th, 2011
@ The Lost Dalek, i just thought that if you swapped the head and console with the molloy and the gooderson figures you could get a more accurate destiny davros figure!
Posted by: Jack April 25th, 2011
Booboo do you have this?
Posted by: booboo April 25th, 2011
we have one on its way but since the stuff started turning up on ebay and the USA first my enthusiasm is waning a bit to be honest

Booboo have you ordered this off FP? (not FPI) If so, have yours been dispatched?
Posted by: booboo April 19th, 2011
No we get ours from one of there shops and they haven’t had any yet
Posted by: dalekemperor704 April 13th, 2011
in that set i dont get why one dalek has a black exterminator and one has a grey exterminator
Posted by: Jack April 13th, 2011
Hello! Basically in the story i think one dalek had a silver gun and the rest had bronze, so CO decided to put the silver one in there as a varient and to give us something different than 2 bronze gunned daleks!
Posted by: WhoEleven April 18th, 2011
no, no i am preety sure that in the story, for some reason, they all had bronse guns. I was thinking this myself “, why have they put a silver gunned one in”
Posted by: Jack April 18th, 2011
I’m sure i saw one silver gunned dalek in there somewhere. But i might be wrong, i’ll have to have a re-watch on genesis!
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
My dear fellows, it is unadvisable to compare things for screen-accuracey, too much. It really can spoil the whole thing for us enthusiasts.
I mean, for instance, one unfortunate mistake I made was having the BLACK+GOLD Dalek from Planet of the Daleks BEFORE I even saw the episode. And then, watching it afterwards, I saw there were clearly afew differences, nothing important, but it just goes to show the figures will never BE EXACT COPIES.
But it really doesn’t matter if they arent EXACT COPIES when the action figures are made.;)
Posted by: jamiewho11 April 13th, 2011
ive been saving up my pocket money for this it looks like a great set
Posted by: McGann The Doctor. April 15th, 2011
Great stuff Mon frere, I cant save mine up, I need to order Doctor WHo stuff of ebay DONT KNOW WHEN Ill have the chance to get this wornderful set. Feel sorry for me!
(on ebay, the 5th Doctor with hat, loose figure and Snakedance DVD loose and seperate. HOW COULD I TURN THAT DONW?!!)
Posted by: Paddy April 10th, 2011
Why couldn’t we have gotten a sarah or nyder or kaled soldier instead of another dalek
Posted by: ross campbell April 11th, 2011
B coz i think they trying to continue with the pobularity of the classic daleks even though they r the same releases as b4. But i think the reason y they haven’t dun any of they other figures that u want is bcoz it would probably cost more money and slightly harder to put in2 detail.
Posted by: the doctor and bradley April 10th, 2011
it is on ebay now for a few mor mins
Posted by: Paddy April 8th, 2011
Where ther two diffrent types of Dalek in genesis of the daleks?
Posted by: ross campbell April 10th, 2011
No i don’t think there was it was only the 1 on the right
Posted by: dalekdrone April 6th, 2011
Heres a picture of the packaging and that orange thing is the mutant

Posted by: lett April 6th, 2011
GREAT IT COMES WITH A MUTANT
Posted by: ross campbell April 10th, 2011
If it comes with a mutant then y didn’t it get shown in the pictures?
Posted by: who crazy! April 10th, 2011
Now its made this set a big YES for me!
Posted by: anthony April 18th, 2011
is that what it lokks like i havent got the revalation or res i ‘m going to get theme for xmas do u think thy’ll have them in still
Posted by: who crazy! April 18th, 2011
Course they will. But the older an exclusive can get, the less there will be in store
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
The Dalek embryo creature that attacks the Doctor, arent we glad they DIDNT miss out on that? But more to the point, I think its rediculous that we have people saying they REALLY WANT this set after they found out theres a mutant with it. I’ve always wanted the set, but alas, I earn hardly enough as it is
and will have to wait for an oppurtunity..
But in the meantime, we’ve got Snakedance, the DVD! Comin off ebay, and good news good news theres also the much awaited SDCC 11th Doctor, both for over a dozen pounds each. Worth it.
Posted by: dalekdrone April 6th, 2011
Guess what this set comes with a dalek mutant
Posted by: The Silence April 5th, 2011
Hey Booboo are they making more Series 5 Figures
Posted by: booboo April 5th, 2011
I doubt it now
Posted by: Jack April 4th, 2011
it seems they are using the incorrect fourth doctor figure
Posted by: who crazy! April 4th, 2011
They are using the sontaran expeiment doctor except that this one doesnt have the hat. So it isnt exactly the same.
Posted by: dalek eternal April 22nd, 2011
actually the doctgor is correct but this outfit isnt what he had in the ebginning in the beginning he was wearing a red jacket but the last two episodes he ahd a brown jacket but i dont know how it changed
Posted by: TheDoctorWhoFan March 30th, 2011
cant wait when it comes out

i’ve heard about the tme warrior set too
Posted by: DWFA100 March 29th, 2011
Have you heard about the Time Warrior Figure set?
I have heard about a new figure set coming soon
Posted by: DoctorWhoFan March 29th, 2011
I hope thats true aswell Booboo
Posted by: Abo March 28th, 2011
To Chubster, this might cool you down, on Whona they say Jo Grant & Gel Guard set and The Brigadier & Omega and possibly been planned. Plus their have been rumours of the Mel and Vervoid set, but also Romana 2 & Sacroth. Most rumours are partially true, so at least one of these companions must be coming! Just wait!
Posted by: booboo March 28th, 2011
These rumours have been around for weeks now. i hope they are true, SDCC is soon so hopefully we will see some of these then
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
Ohh! So there ARE more companions soon on the way, and YES you are CORRECT IN SAYING most rumours do come true. Believe moi, alot of sets that people mention, DO turn up months later. If there is an Omega set, I would have preferred the other Omega to be honest.
As for a set with the Vervoid, and Melainey Mel, I WOULD definately go for that. And that’s scaroth by the way, though I dont much care for City of DEATH, SUCH A SHOWOFF OF AN EPISODE.
Posted by: LiasonIce March 28th, 2011
These sets are really quite good.
Posted by: omega March 28th, 2011
shadows or Vashta Nerada
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
Say, Omega. I hear there’s going to (possibly) be a set with you, and the Brigadier from the story Three Doctors. Why cant there be a set with you from the Arc of Infinity.
Well lets be fair, because I wouldnt be able to buy it if one came out!! (atleast not until Ive saved up and found myself an oppurtunity)
Posted by: The TARDIS March 27th, 2011
im not sure if this is just coz it’s a prototype or the lighting but one of davros`s slats 4 his chair is a darker black compared 2 the other slats
oh and chubster the reason they are making more dalek varient’s becoause fans want more dalek varients
Posted by: who crazy! March 27th, 2011
Your right. And plus Character Options have all of the time in the world to make sets like the Terror of the Vervoids one.
Posted by: McGann is The Doctor. March 26th, 2011
Well chubster, Im very sorry to hear youre not going with the flow of things. You know, we should really be grateful that character are working away to produce these Additional Dalek sets, so that us buyers can choose from the bigger range of choices.
I myself, will have to actually go for THIS very set first. I WAS saving the cash for that first Davros set, with the Terry Molloy Davros, which I actually REALLY WANT and I want it more than any other sets. But what the Jek, get this one next, I just cant pass on the 4th Doctor.
Posted by: Chubster March 26th, 2011
Like I’ve said before, way to many Daleks and 4th Doctor variants, what about the Time Warrior set what’s been seen on ebay, and what about the rumoured Terror of the Vervoids set: with Mel and Vervoid – a possible new companion pack, we need companions and new monsters not Daleks, Daleks, Daleks, I will not to buying any of these latest Dalek sets
Posted by: dalekdrone March 25th, 2011
I want my mum to get me this on the holidays
Posted by: Anonymous March 24th, 2011
boo boo,plz reply,i realy want a davros figure so witch classic davros set do you think i should get,i’d be dubbling up on both 4th doctor and 6th.thanks
Posted by: booboo March 24th, 2011
I dont know , my fav set is destiny
Posted by: ryan March 23rd, 2011
why why why no emperor davros set ide buy him in a heartbeat the last set that grabbed my attention was the sontaran set i think the destiny set is miles ahead of this just cause the daleks look better so dose tom and it comes with an acsessory
Posted by: Mr Byzantium March 23rd, 2011
Where can I get one from?
How much does it cost?
Why did you get it?
Is it good?
Posted by: booboo March 23rd, 2011
They were discontinued ages ago, only place is ebay really £20-£30 and its good for displaying figures
Posted by: The TARDIS March 22nd, 2011
plz every1 stop complaining about the wires, yes they r a bit big but don’t 4get davros is krippled so tht gives him more of a robotic look
Posted by: ozzysupreme March 22nd, 2011
booboo which do u prefer out of remembrance, ressurection, revelation, destiny or genesis?
Posted by: booboo March 22nd, 2011
As a story Genesis by a long way but i would love a remembrance Davros some time
Posted by: Mr Byzantium March 22nd, 2011
What is the playset on the right shelf above K9?
Posted by: booboo March 22nd, 2011
Its a Buffy the vampire library set very suited to 5″ figures
Posted by: Jason doctorwhoone March 22nd, 2011
Anyone like the idea of a Classic Davros Figure Set ?. It could come with Davros in his Imperial Emperor Dalek Casing as a kind of bonus figure.
Probably could be called ” Doctor Who – Evolution of Davros Gift Set “, thou that would probably mean including the New Series Davros as well perhaps.
Posted by: booboo March 22nd, 2011
would like that in some shape or form
Posted by: Anonymous March 22nd, 2011
i am sick of classic exclusives and no waves for one figure is 20.00!!! that is very expensive i like this set but alout of then arnt that good
Posted by: Bicky March 22nd, 2011
Why is the wiring on davros’ head so thick? It looks like he’s having his hair permed!
Posted by: ParadigmDalek March 22nd, 2011
Sure I like this set but must it be an FP exclusive?
Posted by: Dalek Sec March 22nd, 2011
Will Genesis of the Daleks Davros be released separatly!
Posted by: JoGGer March 22nd, 2011
A set with the different variations of Davros including the remembrance version would have been far better… the daleks could have been sold off in the classic dalek sets which were far better…and the glass revelation dalek could have been included.
Im sorry but these sets just reek of milking fans too much.
Posted by: JoGGer March 22nd, 2011
The set is getting like those appalling mass produced daleks that you could buy in woolworths in the 1960s…difference is they were tuppence a time……
Posted by: The TARDIS March 21st, 2011
y not the dr in his red coat? thts wat he wore mostly?
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
He did wear it mostly in the episode. But then if they did that, it’s the sixth (or so) time that figure of the Doctor has been released. We mostly prefer this one, its cool. :p
Posted by: The TARDIS March 21st, 2011
y not the dr in his red coat? thts wat he wore mostly
Posted by: ozzysupreme March 21st, 2011
hey booboo why are they releasing 2 exclusives in April, this really annoys me cous im getting the resurrection set and revelation set on the same day this comes out
Posted by: booboo March 21st, 2011
well technically there was no March release so that’s probably why
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
-Youre so smart booboo, you should get a diplomacy in knowitallnesss. No offence meant by this remark.
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. March 21st, 2011
Oh awesome, I thought they might be making this very set. And I was proven right! The Doctor in that overcoat again, great! But Im getting the Peter Davison set, no other priorities will stop that.
But in the mean time, this supposed Destiny of the Daleks set is one to look at! I might get that aswell!
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
What, WHY DID I SAY THAT?!! I hate the Destiny set, its got a bad Doctor!! (and an awesome Davros and Dalek figures, but still a terrible Doctor).
Slash that plan, Im actually going for the Revelation and Genesis sets, the other figures (the Dalek Supreme aswell as the Fifth Doctor from the Ressurection set) can be bought of febay, for a dozen pounds and no less.
Posted by: Jack March 21st, 2011
booboo, how long ago did they add this to FP?
Posted by: booboo March 21st, 2011
Posted by: Fez March 21st, 2011
oooooooooool:)
why do people already have the monster invasion cards????????
they are selling them on ebay and i thought they came out later in the year????
Posted by: booboo March 21st, 2011
They did a test are a few months back
Posted by: Mr Byzantium March 21st, 2011
Booboo, you’ve not made a news article about this Time warrior set when this site have! I hope I inspire you to create one!
http://doctorwhotoys.net/timewarriorset.htm
Posted by: booboo March 21st, 2011
Nope, and were not going to until some sort of official information is available
Posted by: superdalek March 21st, 2011
The dalek on the right looks like a varient from the ressurection of the daleks set.
Posted by: The Silence March 21st, 2011
I wouldn’t mind buying this Set this set as
I have no classic Daleks
I Love Tom Baker so I want some figures of him
And Davros is COOL
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
Hey Silence, when exactly will you be falling?
:worried:
Posted by: the doctor and bradley March 21st, 2011
i still like this set tho toms weard
Posted by: Drsuperwho March 20th, 2011
Indeed, in fact it’s kind of weird……Almost as thought CO can’t be bothered to anounce them s leak them to there people
Posted by: Drsuperwho March 20th, 2011
This is aslos nice: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-DR-ACTION-FIGURE-VEHICLE-SET-3RD-DOCTOR-/170618091987?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item27b9a179d3
Posted by: booboo March 20th, 2011
it seem like nothing is getting officially announced anymore, that’s the last 4 set now that have either turned up on ebay or in the USA first
Posted by: Dalek supreme March 20th, 2011
I am collecting all 5 of these sets to display as they are the only classic sets I have
Posted by: gary March 20th, 2011
i think all figure sets released should have:
- At least 1 companion form that story
- a villan from that story (or 2 if necessary)
- possibly a doctor (we dont need shelves and boxes of the same figure)
Posted by: gary March 20th, 2011
why are they wasting their time re-releasing daleks, davros and the doctor? they should have just done “The Fourth Doctor Dalek Set” with:
- Davros (he practically looks the same in destiny and genesis)
- Destiny Doctor (with scarf done PROPERLY)
- Genesis Dalek
- Destiny Dalek
but no its just money first customers later with some companies
Posted by: booboo March 20th, 2011
They are note waisting there time, many people did not buy the original releases as others have said here
Posted by: The Whofan101 March 20th, 2011
Not as many as Tennant
Posted by: booboo March 20th, 2011
If i were in production and needed to keep costs down it would make scene to produce all these sets at the same time as they use the same/similar moulds etc, if you produce one davros set now, then change the production line for something completely different and then change it back for the next set its bound to cost more, i suspect this is why we are getting these sets all at once.
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
You tell em BooBoo, Character know what theyr’e doing, mon freres.
Posted by: gary March 20th, 2011
.
well actually i dont have any of the figures in this set so it is ACTUALLY quite a good set. but the tom baker isn’t good
Posted by: dalek30 March 20th, 2011
Woah!
This better be in the UK!
We’ve been waiting for it for ages.
Posted by: Andy March 20th, 2011
Again, like the Destiny set, one Dalek was needed, companion figures of Sarah Jane or Harry would have made it worth while, personally. I feel Character/Underground Toys have gone over the top with continuousness releases of classic Daleks, practically every new classic exclusive set contains Daleks…and why are there so many 4th Doctor variations compared to other Doctors? Daleks aren’t the only thing in the Classic era of Doctor Who.
Posted by: King Ninja March 20th, 2011
The figure that I’m excited about is this new mould of Davros (ironically, for the latest release, the oldest and original version in the series). I have a Genesis dalek and a 4th Doctor. I really with they’d done a Sarah Jane Smith, Harry or Nyder! Or at least that failed dalek experiment, clam creature! I love the looks of this set but it takes such a long time for new figures to come out I wish it was sometimes something different than yet another dalek set (much as I love daleks).
Posted by: ross campbell March 20th, 2011
I was hoping a sarah or harry or nyder with this set!
Posted by: tc March 20th, 2011
the biggest waste of time and money i have ever seen. Most of the daleks from the previous 2 fp sets are the same. Just a cheap repaint of tom baker and a few differences to a davros. FP are running out of ideas and fast. Anyone who wants to buy this re paint is obviously just being brainwashed. I thought two sets were enough, but another two is just outrages!http://merchandise.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif
Posted by: gary March 20th, 2011
i like this set but i really dislike tom’s tie and jumper thing. it’s got the pattern of his waist coat from seasons 13 – 15 but its made in the shape of theseason 12 jumper!!!! madness.
but davros is fab and those daleks are just.. so… dalek-y?? its a good set.
Posted by: Policebox March 20th, 2011
I’m not paying £35 + postage for 2 more genisis daleks. A 4th doctor with a diffrent head with another davros (davros would be worth concidering but £35)
Money dosn’t grow on trees you know
Posted by: booboo March 20th, 2011
To be fair the genesis Daleks from Dalek set one have become quite rare with many collectors not getting them first time round so this will be welcome news to them.
Posted by: Anthony was the Master. April 25th, 2011
-Yeah, infact that’s practicly the FIRST reason I wanted to go for this set. And The Tom Baker has all the essentials for a figure of that character; the tie and coat, not to mention iconic hair and scarf. I really don’t think the odd waistcoat is that big a deal, its still pretty good a figure.
You see where Im getting at>?
Posted by: ParadigmDalek March 20th, 2011
To: The TARDIS, well its okay, but they just messed up the costume as it something he never wore in the actual show, so im not entirely impressed.
Posted by: Doctor Who 2011 March 20th, 2011
