Fun Doctor Who Seasonal Reductions

Please note someone has said they were sent the UK version of the Sonic Screwdriver, Fun say they have only ever sold the seven20 (ex underground toys) version.

Just in time for Christmas Fun had reduced some of their seasonal and other items. They also now offer an economy plus post option. Items are shipped duty paid to the UK so there are NO extra costs.

Some items on offer are…

Cyberman Nutcracker

13th Doctor 5″ ornament

13th Doctor Beanie

13th Doctor Belt Bag

15″ Miniature Tree Set

Weeping Angel Tree Topper

You can see everything on offer in the UK at www.fun.co.uk

You can see everything on offer in the USA and Australia at www.fun.com and www.fun.com.au

WARNING: You will not receive the Seven20 Sonic Screwdriver! My mate bought me one for Christmas last year & they sent him the UK Version. He applied for a Refund which was never received. The picture shown is wrong.

that’s odd as all their stock is USA sourced, and if you order stuff online and its not as advertised you can send it back for refund and postage costs so they should not have put up with it.

Well I hate to call them liars, but my mate was sent the UK Version which I saw before he returned it to them & which they never gave a Refund for. I carefully checked the FUN.CO.UK (UK) Website after this & it clearly has no mention in the Product Description about it being the Seven20 Version. If you then look at the FUN.COM (USA) site it clearly mentions it is the Version with the Rotating Head.

the product codes and item dimensions are identical and we know the character one is much larger.

I am in contact with them over this as i know people have bought them, if you give me the order number i will take it up with them, no way would i send something back and then put up with not getting a refund (assuming their returns procedure was followed)

Well that’s very kind of you Booboo. I did mention this awhile back on one of the Fun threads. I contacted my mate about this & as it’s nearly a year past he’s let it slide. He tell’s me that he no longer has the paperwork for it. Personally if it had been my Order I would have followed it up myself. I did nag at him for ages after Christmas last year, but other people do things in their own way!

Fun have got back to me, as you have left the comment about them not giving a refund on a returned item they want to look at what happened but need more details. They are also looking into how it is the Character version is being supplied as they supplier is listed as Underground toys (seven20) who have never imported the Character version

As I said, if it was £20 of my money I would have chased it up. So I can’t understand why he didn’t, considering he also sent it by Recorded Delivery? Can’t believe he didn’t make any effort on this, as he still had to go out & buy me the US Version elsewhere early in Jan 2019 after Christmas. I keep all my receipts & paperwork for any Dr Who Merch that I buy. Other people do things in their own way though, sometimes to their own detriment!

TBH, replacing the Christmas Fairy with a fictional malevolent killer from the Dr Who universe doesn’t really feel appropriate … 😀

At four or five years old, my daughter referred to the angel on the top of our tree as a Weeping Angel when it wasn’t a weeping one – just the usual kind. Which amused me!
