BBC Books are excited to announce the first Target novelisations of Doctor Who’s new post-2005 series.

For the first time ever, Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat will be novelising their own episodes; Rose and The Day of the Doctor, joined by Paul Cornell novelising Twice Upon a Time, Jenny T Colgan novelising The Christmas Invasion and James Goss with the first Douglas Adams Target novelisation: City of Death.

    Now this is some of the nicest Doctor Who merchandise I have seen in a long time! I will definitely be purchasing the whole set of these classy novels!

    Russell T Davies has said in the novel of Rose there is scene they cut, bits they couldn’t afford to film, new friends for Mikey, more about the file in Clive’s shed and we get more Jackie

    the daleks on the cover of the day of the doctor novel bear a resemblance to a type mentioned within engines of war, some sort of paradigm/time war dalek hybrid

      It’s a homage to the way they were drawn on the original target novels, he said so on Twitter

    Think I might go for a couple of these. Christmas Invasion and Day of the Doctor.
    Love those episodes.

    I like the look of these. I greatly enjoyed the ‘Target’ books growing up in the 1980’s. Two books in this range I’m most interested in are ‘Day of the Doctor, and especially ‘City of Death’.
