Neil, an awesome and different figurine would be to do Margaret slitheen human form with a slitheen arm! I know Annette who played her is up for a figurine!

Was anything said at NYCC about the future of the collection? People seemed to think some kind of announcement was expected.

low key announcement of a new line as full details not ready but nothing to do with the figurine collection.

Suspect any announcements will come via PR in the UK now.

OH. no. No more Series 11 figurines or at least space them out. I want to forget series 11 ever existed not be reminded about it every time I look at my collection. I can’t even sell these things on ebay.

Unfortunately franchises were given no access to series 11 other than the basics so had to look at everything all at one go when the show had aired, there was no opportunity to spread things out with a large lead in time as in the past, I would imagine Worldwide demand dictates series 11 should be well represented within the collection as a whole, they are not going to ignore it because it upsets a few people.

I prefer having a 20th-century issue come with a 21st-century issue too. There were scheduling reasons these came together like this.

And guess what? Series 11 exists! And Series 12 will exist too!

I don’t like series 11 at all, but the figurines are fantastic and I’ll still display them as they look super cool, can’t wait for the thijarian!! They did a similar thing with series 8 and 10 figurines, so it’s only natural to have some series 11 figurines. I hope the collection gets an extension and we can have some more cool series 12 figurines too and more 12th doctor era figurines as he is my favourite doctor!!!!!

I too enjoyed series 11. Thing is if people had their way and eaglemoss did stop making series 11 figures because a minority don’t like them then that must mean that virtually all figures must be stopped! After all you’ll find every single series both classic and new had it’s vocal minority who hated it. I’m old enough to remember the complaints about Tom Baker’s series. And yes there were complaints about his now lauded hinchcliffe seasons. Look at the official paperwork and you’ll see complaints about how rubbish troughton was, the same complaints that then occur at every regeneration, every change of companion and every production team change.
Personally I think eaglemoss are doing a fantastic job. Here’s hoping they continue on with many more figures both old who and new.

If we have to have more Doctor variants why not leave them with the companion sets we’d get Susan & 1st, Barbara & 1st, Ian & 1st, Vicki & 1st, Steven & 1st & Dodo & 1st and so on

      September 28th, 2019 - 6:13pm

You see, I’d love all the companions, but I’m not sure I’d want a variant of the doctor with every companion… perhaps 1 in hat and coat and Susan, Ian and Barbara, Vicki and Steven, Ben and Polly, Victoria and Zoe, Unit family-(Brigadier, Liz, Benton, Jo, Yates), Harry and Leela, Romana 1 and 2, Adric and Nyssa, Turlough and Tegan, Peri and Mel, 7 in brown coat and Ace, 8 in movie costume and his movie Tardis (2 new figures for 8), War and Moment (Billie Piper), 10 in tuxedo and Martha from Lazarus experiment, 10 in blue suit and Donna (perhaps with Wilf), 11 in green coat with Rory, 11 in purple coat with name of the doctor River, 12 in red velvet coat with face the raven Clara, 12 in grey coat with Nardole, Team Tardis set of 13 in purple coat, Ryan, Graham and Yaz

    • Bobby Davros

I think it will be a two companion set (Ian and Barbara?)

    • Gareth Pugh

      September 29th, 2019 - 8:29am

Not sure. Although EM said the next four companions sets would be a ‘bit different’, it was also tweeted (replying to someone’s question) that the ‘one Doctor and one companion’ approach was likely to stay in place. I wonder if by ‘different’ they don’t mean something like the Doctor variants might be a bit more one-off like costume variants only seen in one story but still quite iconic – like 4th in his Sherlock Holmes-style outfit from ‘Talons’ (perhaps with Leela) or 1st in his white lab coat and white hat from the Web Planet (maybe with one of Ian, Barbara or Vicki) etc. If they *did* pick Talons of Weng Chiang, it might be a bit tricky because I suspect many would ideally like Leela in one of her ‘standard’ outfits rather than the victorian-era dress, though.

    • Neil Corry

When I first saw the preview of the Lin/Kaled pilot figure it was a front view and I felt disappointed with it, however now that I’ve seen the rotating preview showing the Kaled Pilot I’m really looking forward to adding it to my collection.

I like the majority of the series 11 figurines released so far, the only one I’m disappointed with is Tzim Sha and that’s because I’m not keen on the pose used.

That does look awesome to be fair. Very excited for this.

I still would really like to know if there’s going to be an extension? We’re now just under 20 issues away from 180 and nothing has been said.

When you think of the fact that there are still tonnes of Time Lords and Time Lord variants, Daleks, Cybermen, Masters and Master variants, classic and nu-who aliens, robots and cyborgs, a load of Doctor variants left, and a new series coming out next year, it only makes sense for there to be an extension.

This series of figurines seems more popular than ever and I genuinely, sincerely and wholeheartedly hope that there’ll be plenty more figurines from this wonderful collection left to come. (Maybe 60-100?)

I don’t know for sure, but there is an Eaglemoss panel at NYCC next week and I’m getting the impression “something” or “somethings” maybe announced there.

    • Basil Funkenstein

      September 27th, 2019 - 3:18pm

      I genuinely hope so.

Ben and Neil are aware how much we adore this collection and how much there is left to be made from the series, also bearing in mind they have TARDIS exteriors and interior consoles and companions as an option for either bonuses on the collection or potential spin-off collections. Certainly if its popular and can still promote Doctor Who then the BBC would have no problem granting an extension?

They just seem to be really quiet about it and I’m not sure what issue it was when we last found out about an extension but it seems to be a lot earlier than this, or at least earlier than 20 issues from the end.

Of course I don’t want to sound ungrateful or demanding, I love this collection a LOT, but it’s because I still think there’s more to be done and because it is so amazing that I want it to continue, but I am extremely grateful for what we have so far and I am incredibly excited to see what is coming up next year.

How would Neil communicate through our voices if there was no extension to this collection aside from jumping in talking someone elses Merchandise up, like the rest of us. I hope it goes on till were all more or less satisfied with the collection. They could do the lot if that is possible as well as keeping up with latest series’. It would be madness to pack in now at the height of its popularity.

This is such an unexpected and welcome figurine, really imaginative. I’m looking forward to seeing the mutant itself, it was an original direction to take the Daleks and a nice callback to ‘Genesis’ and ‘Resurrection’ but developing the idea.

This one looks really good, might be strange suggestions but I wonder if there’s any chance of them releasing a weathered neutral weeping angel from flesh and stone, or the one from the time of angels cctv clip. I find the blank staring angels much creepier than the screaming versions.

I’d love a closed mouth silence as well or the turtle neck silence from time of the doctor. Or one of the natural Ood
