Are we going to be getting anymore TARDIS Exteriors as Special’s? or as a sperate Collection? Same goes for the Consoles? and Are Pin Badges ever going to become a thing cause I remember there was a survey about that?

I totally agree with doing the companion sets as bonus as previously mentioned as it would take too many spots from the main collection. Eaglemoss have got it right not everyone wants companions this way you have a choice to buy or not to buy. Personally I get everything. It is a fabulous collection and the figures keep improving. Probably the best collection ever done. I just hope it goes on for a lot longer beyond the 180. I also use this site for all my information so long may this continue too. Look forward to many more figures.

I’m hoping to see sets of Peri & The 6th Doctor, as Peri is my favourite companion, and also I’d love Tegan & The 5th Doctor. What’s the odds of these within the year I wonder? Also I seem to remember Neil musing on this very site over a Mara special I’d love to see one!

A model of the CGI Mara from the special features would be nice.

A little strange of them to give 9 the blue jumper, since he only wore it in The Unquiet Dead and Aliens of London (before meeting Jack), but this is still exciting.

Just need that Preorder date now for 2nd and Jamie now. It will be a weight off my mind once i get that confirmation reciept from Paypal in August. Its going to be a frantic summer as it is. I could do with a Big Finish Alert for those sets, but its every man for himself. I get a dark feeling i,m going to be one of those who miss out. AGAIN.

The 9th Doctor/Jack is now ‘Add to Basket’ on the Eaglemoss Collections webshop 🙂

I’ve just ordered it, hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

I also noticed that on the account page you can now view orders that you’ve made over the last few years

It’s great that they’ve finally chosen to do companion sets. It really is, and they’ve honestly looked fantastic so far.

But I can’t help but feel this is too little, too late. I cancelled my subscription a year ago because I’d run out of space and no longer considered it a necessity. Had they had the sense to do companion figurines much earlier, instead of being firmly opposed to the idea, I would have purchased them.

I agree it’s been left a little late, I can’t get these as I’ve run out of space and am sticking to main collection and specials, although I hope I can make some room for these while they’re still available.

Too little too late? Shall we stop them, then? 😀

    • booboo

      July 2nd, 2019 - 4:57pm

No. I’m aware a lot wanted companions as part of the subscription series, but there were an awful lot who didn’t (me included) and wanted them as an optional extra if they were to happen.

This was the best option all round, Personally i don’t know where time scale comes into it to be honest. I’m assuming companion sets only happened because of the continuing and established success of the line giving confidence to bring them to market.

If it stops at 180, or even goes on a little, you could never have incorporated core companions within that limit without sacrificing to much else i feel.

      July 2nd, 2019 - 5:27pm

Totally agree! If the series stops at 180 (heaven forfend!) and companions had been included loads of great figures would never have been made so optional extra companion sets was the best strategy and shows the series has continued to be commercially successful.
It was always ‘Doctors’ and ‘Enemies’ from the start and personally I’m hoping for many more from all eras and especially (for me) the later Tom Baker series.
Good luck with the extension Neil and thanks for keeping us informed – it’s really appreciated!

A wasted paraphrased Jaws reference went straight over the head. Never mind. Neil Please continue. I won,t be happy until we have at least ‘Borusas’ full set. In the words of Fleetwood Mac ‘Don,t Stop’.

    • booboo

      July 2nd, 2019 - 5:42pm

I can see Both sides, i know companions were wanted long ago but realistically for a series that was supposed stop at 80 this range has gone beyond all expectations, companions, console(s), a daffodil Auton and lots more exiting things to come.

But you will never please everyone, i still want to know where the toy maker is!

I also think if they could get a reasonable studio canal license there is a previously untouched market there.

    • Dav McKenzie

      July 2nd, 2019 - 6:34pm

Yeah, I think Booboo’s hit the nail on the head. This is the right way to go about a companion series.

And yes, PLEAAAASSEEE make a game of Rassilon set.

      July 2nd, 2019 - 7:09pm

And didn,t The Toymaker top the poll last time? I hope we get to know how long this line continues soon, too much uncertainty going on already.

To ahunter: just wanted to pick up on “instead of being firmly opposed to the idea”. No one was ever firmly opposed to including the companions. Working out the best way to do them has taken far longer than anyone would have liked, that’s all.

    • Chris Howarth

      July 3rd, 2019 - 11:21am

So Neil, does the twin-pack format of the Doctor/Companion sets mean that we’re not going to get all the companions (I’d love a Zoe and both Romanas for example), or we’re getting loads of Doctors?

    • Neil Corry

      July 3rd, 2019 - 11:27am

To Chris: sorry to have to say this but it’s a case of wait and see…

I was also one of the naysayers regarding including the companions in the regular collection and I still stand by my view, however I’m really pleased that Eaglemoss chose to do them as bonus sets, so far I’ve bought all 5 sets and eagerly look forward to more to come.

I’d love Eaglemoss to do 5th Doctor with Tegan from Resurrection of the Daleks

    • The Werewolf

      July 3rd, 2019 - 9:27pm

Same here, this way we can have monsters and companions, (please Adric or Nyssa over Tegan though)

    • The ergon

      July 4th, 2019 - 9:50am

No. I,d take all 3 costume versions of Tegan. Did you really like Nyssas awful ‘deckchair’ outfit?

    • The Werewolf

      July 4th, 2019 - 7:55pm

      A) Yes, and B) even if I didn’t I like the character better and would prefer to have Nyssa on my shelf more. (Please don’t take that comment the wrong way)

    • The ergon

      July 5th, 2019 - 4:15pm

Thats fine werewolf. Just an honest opinion to an honest question. Primarily i,d take Tegan in her punk style outfit way above the faux air stewardess uniform and the ‘B*** tube’ outfit last, as for Nyssa the crushed velvet trouser suit would win hands down. I think one each of Adric, Turlough, Peri and even kamelion would suffice. Long may these companion sets rule though.

    • Bobby Davros

      July 6th, 2019 - 3:15am

Somehow, I don’t think they would pass up using Tegan, the companion that spans almost the entire 5th Doctor era for one of the most disliked and ridiculed companion ever (Adric) when they do the 5th Doctor pack.

10th Doctor and Rose to be reissued with a corrected back cover? I guess that means there’s two versions of this set, the earlier error version and the later corrected one. We’ll have to watch out for the earlier ones appearing on certain auction sites at inflated prices?

I always get so annoyed that companies pretend Donna and Martha don’t exist, they have no dunno pop’s and are often missed out in promo images like the region 1 new series box set for David tennant and Christopher eccleston only has rose on the front and I would have thought that rose would have been done with 9 and either Martha and Donna with 10 unless we get John Smith with Martha and meta crisis doctor with Donna as I don’t see them doing more of 10. Alternatively they could do a Donna with time beetle on her back and Martha from songaran stratagem and say it’s her clone so both count as alien/monster figures and don’t have to be done in companion sets

    • Gareth Pugh

      May 6th, 2019 - 10:19pm

Oh, I don’t think they are necessarily planning to only do one companion set per Doctor if they want to release certain companions. I’m fairly sure we’ll see a further Tom Baker Companion Set (my bet is on a Season 17 4th Doctor with his beige coat with either a Destiny of The Daleks or City of Death version of Romana). For example, for Martha they could just do a tuxedo 10 from the Lazarus experiment and maybe a blue suit version of 10 to put with a Donna.

      May 6th, 2019 - 10:51pm

I do hope so, I just didn’t imagine them doing 5-8 4th doctor sets to accommodate all the companions as they’d have to do 5-8 different 4th doctor sculpts.
