Famous Monsters Of Filmland #271 (Doctor Who Cover)

famous-monstersAvailable for the first time in PREVIEWS, issue #271 of FM pays tribute to one of cinema’s most legendary monster makers: Ray Harryhausen!

From friendly mechanical owls to misunderstood Venusians to giants bent on death and destruction, Harryhausen took lumps of clay and breathed life into them, imbuing each with a unique soul.

Films like Jason and the Argonauts, the Sinbad series, 20 Million Miles to Earth, and Clash of the Titans made him a legend. Plus, take a journey through a half century in the WHOniverse!

We have a look at how the longest running Sci-Fi show got started, writers and artists making a case for their favorite Doctor, and a history of the widely underappreciated series of Doctor Who audio dramas. Features a Doctor Who cover by Simon Thorpe!

Bit out of date. It should be Capaldi on the front!

I believe they are planning an update of the sight once the series has ended.

Hmm. It’s not bad, but that stock Tardis image is awful, and I would’ve imagined either Tom Baker or Capaldi to be the Doctor on the cover.

Yeah, that’s not right. This appears to be a jumble of everything.

The 10th Doctor probably pickpocketed the Eleventh Doctor’s sonic when he wasn’t looking. It’s a man thing.
