must be annoying when those figures fall over also you have probably been asked this alot but how long have you been collecting and where do you buy most of your doctor who merchandise?

the figures can be a nightmare! they were in the tardis cabinet, ontop of my clothes draw, the draws are just where the door is, and when people open the door rapidly, or hard, the door hits the draws, and makes the figures wobble, and sometimes resulting in them falling, i do get frustrated, therefor i have brought a glass cabinet, it is huge, so i put all the figures on one shelf, they cannot get touched there. making them much safer. i have been collecting for around 5 or so years. i buy at least 95% of my collection on ebay, i also sell…

      June 2nd, 2013 - 10:01pm

continued… quite a bit on ebay doctor who wise as a business, so it is 50/50 but i do keep the most valuble, vintage items, and sell the everyday 5 inch figure, i am planning on buying the 3.75 inch figures, but i will only get 1 of the 6, if i like, i will buy the lot, if i don’t like them, will sell it on, and not bother with them. i do love collecting classic figures though, and still will do. i also as many of you know collect head/masks props, at the moment i have at least 18 of them, and will carry on. In addition i love dapol, …

    • eddy

      June 2nd, 2013 - 10:04pm

continued… and will soon have the whole lot, i would also really love the entire denys fisher range, but they can reach silly prices, even for a box! i will forever more collect doctor who, but with the news in several newspapers that there is a danger of doctor who ending, then i will consider selling the entire lot on eBay, as it will be worth a lot more, but will see how it goes, but i doubt it will end, its been running for 50 years as you know!
i hope i have answered your question and more!
      kindest of regards

yes you have ansered my question! Just how much you have written says to me how much you care for you collection, someday i hope to have as much as you and i respect you for having so much figures and memorobilia 🙂 your collection is absolutely fantastic and every time i look on here it still surprises me, my collection probably isn’t even a quarter of what you have and keeping it in the packaging shows you care for them. I wish you many happy years of collecting 🙂

    • eddy

      June 3rd, 2013 - 7:00pm

thanks for your kind words 🙂 im sure you will have a bigger collection, just work on it, and then you will surprised that you will have no room left! same for me, that’s why i sometimes sell things to make room, but fill them again with the money i got! im sure i will be collecting for a long time to come, and i think it is a proper investment for my future. Been nice talking to you, and any more questions you are welcome to ask me,

      hi,
to your first reply, no they are not signed and do not have a certificate, but know they are produced from the origanel mould, and painted professionaly, having payed £120 myself, would like about £150.
secondly you just need to look up prop heads all the time, as soon as you have found one, make enquirieries, and go from there

thanks very much for your post, i brought the Bessie from eBay for £30, if is about 12 inch long, it is limited edition and was made in England, i have tried to put the 3rd doctor 5 inch figure in the driving seat, but it is just too small, so i put my child hood teddy in their sometimes 🙂

all on eBay, cost me a bit (minimum of £60) and highest was £250, that was the silence mask, as it is a cast from the origenl, and was painted all produced by BBC props
