Early Adventures 6.2 Daughter of the Gods

Available to order from www.bigfinish.com

When Zoe reattaches an old piece of equipment to the TARDIS console, she, Jamie and the Doctor are very lucky to avoid a collision.

But the place they find themselves in may be even more dangerous – because there they encounter another Doctor, a space pilot named Steven… and a young woman called Katarina who really shouldn’t be there….

This looks like a more fleshed out version of Chris Walker-Thomson’s The Glimpse.

Why Big Finish doesn’t hire Chris Thompson to do the voice is beyond me. Hearing him do Troughton makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

The reason why they haven’t got him in is because Frazier Hines already does the voice for them and it’s a fairly good impression. And Frazier also chooses to only get paid for playing Jamie, he does his second Doctor voice for free in honour of Patrick.

Frazer has also said he’s not happy with anyone doing Pats voice-presumably, this is an agreement the family have also come to.

I’ve never listened to the early adventures, but I think I might give them a go, because this looks interesting and there’s nothing like a bit of original doctor who action.

You should try them, I got the 2nd doctor one called the black hole a couple of years back and I constantly listen to it.
