these past 2 weeks on ebay i’ve noticed alot of these appearing with 3-d glasses head (which of course came only with brown suit version),it has a none hologram doctor who logo and looking at photos it’s a really bad mould.so i suspect these are bootlegs so beware and avoid.

Just had an email from FP saying they have been told by BC that this figure is no longer going to be produced and are cancelling all orders.

I figured this when BC failed to answer any of my emails…..yet more empty promise from Big Chief…Im actually suprised we got the 11th 1/6th Doctor…I am not holding my breath for anything else.

I see Big Chief have now postponed this until February 2013…thats the second postponement of this release….they seem to be a little unreliable – if I recall correctly, they also had issues with the release of their 11th Doctor figure.

Any chance you can use you contacts and find out what they are playing at and if we will actually ever see this figure….

It’s not really a figure, is it? More of a… statue or model?

Correct, as far as I can tell it’s a ‘figurine’ rather than an ‘figure/action figure’. A figure is usually a posable toy/collector’s item. A figurine usually doesn’t have moving parts (or has only very minor movement), and is more like a statuette/model.

I say ‘usually’ because some people use the terms interchangably, and it’s not always that clear-cut anyway.

He looks EVIL. That model doesn’t exactly show his best side… and his hair in interesting, to say the least.

I was so looking forward to this but I am shocked at the price…60 quid for a 9 inch lump of plastic…no articlulation or acessories. I think Big Chief are off my list…they’re clearly not fan friendly.

They said (and I quote from their website) that these figures would be “ideally suited for fans and collectors of all age”. True, in all but one respect: £60?!? 😯
