Dr Who Figurine Collection #158 Davros Genesis of the Daleks

Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.com

The Doctor Who Figurine Collection part 158 features Davros, creator of the Daleks, as he appears in the 1975 adventure ‘Genesis of the Daleks’.

On a mission for the Time Lords, the Doctor is ordered to either avert the Daleks’ creation or attempt to make them less aggressive.

But time isn’t on the Doctor’s side. Davros has realised his people, the Kaleds, can’t survive Skaro’s poisoned atmosphere, and so has force-evolved their ultimate form. These mutants will thrive and, instilled with the belief theyare superior to all other life, they begin to massacre everyone they can find – even exterminating Davros…

The face detail is very good, I’m very happy with mine, although I’m tempted to give the face a brown ink wash. This will brought out the detail far more and probably match the colour of the actual mask a little better. Surprised they didn’t go for that.

I totally agree, the workmanship on this version of Davros is brilliant. Well done Eaglemoss!! Please put us out of our misery soon and let us know the collection will go past 180! So many monster and villain figurines from the fourth doctor’s era, yet alone the other eras, need to be made. At the top of my list is the Kraal / Stygron figurine followed by the Vogans. The Dr Who Weetabix cards have had such a long lasting impression on me!!!

    I don’t remember the “Fouth Doctor” era…

There is a huge difference between the two. Eaglemoss has done a great job on the detail of the figure.
