We’re all supposed to be eco friendly these days, so why no Green Dalek? :-p

There is a green paradigm Dalek geneticist in the brilliant fan made Dalek tales on YouTube.

Well painted but not certain of the colour.

    But
different formats – television or photograph
    different lighting
    different eyesight

So of course the colours are going to be subjective from people’s points of view.
Presumably Eaglemoss work very closely the the BBC so isn’t there an official pantone colour that could be referenced? eg “Orange 021 CP”

I loved these versions of the Daleks and we never got to see their full potential because fandoms have a habit of ruining things for everyone.

They had the perfect idea in Asylum of the Daleks. Have the bronze drones as standard and the Paradigm has enforcers or commanders/supreme etc. but they never went on to do anything with them so quite frankly it’s the writers fault. Should have had a bit more vision rather than countless episodes where the Daleks just stand around doing nothing or have stormtrooper aim for comic effect

They looked great in the city of the daleks game. Oh, and be grateful for “stormtrooper aim” without it films, TV shows and books would all be a lot shorter (as would the be the lives if the heroes!)

Or they could just not put heroes into a position where they only way they can get out alive is by the enemy missing every shot

The Paradigm were going to be in Time of the Doctor, but a leak and bad fan reaction apparently meant their scenes were cut (they were the Daleks in the ship when the old Doctor regenerates, that voice coming out of it is meant to be the white Supreme).

That explains the Radio Times cover then.

Got mine today and agree that at first glance at the Dalek on it’s own the colour looks a bit off.

But once next to other Daleks it is fine.

Both figurines are great this week.

This figurine along with Kerblam man convinced me to start collecting again. It looks so nice!

Will we be getting a new series TARDIS console?

There is so much variation in images i’ve looked at, but i “think” you have it about right, especially when / if we get the Eternal Dalek, i think then this will fall in to place nicely

I agree with booboo, when/if the Eternal comes then it’ll certainly bring the colour out more. Though the colour is correct in most photos seen. Problem is the lighting seems to change the colour of Orange. I am still impressed with it though either way and I do hope we get the Eternal in the main line, a special or bonus figure.

I really hope we get the Eternal, was always my favourite and cannot wait to finish the set!

Even though I thought the paint was a bit too light, it seems to vary from which picture it’s compared to, some show lighter orange, some darker like the magazine picture.

Though compared to the white supreme earlier in the line, it is a lot better painted and detailed.

I was in the dalek scientist in victory and I thought the colour was a bit too light. But then I am red/green colour blind

No way it’s too light. It’s incorrect.

its difficult to call, this is our Dalek page and in every screenshot it look different

      http://www.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/dalek/types/28-orange-scientist-dalek/

This one is virtually spot on with the EM one in front of me but the EM promo image is much more orange.

When we get the “Yellow” on i’m sure it will look fine

This is such a weird one because from my point of view this just isn’t the scientist. It’s the incorrect shade of orange. In comparison however, the character options Eternal Dalek is the incorrect shade of yellow. However it’s the exact same shade as the Dalek Scientist that arrived today.

I think when the eternal does arrive they should just make it orange like the actual scientist and write a note explaining the issue.

i thought that as well, until you change it to an actual yellow, the xmas dec seemed the same until side by side

compare it now to an actual image and they seem to have it about right, in fact the Orange Dalek looks more yellow than the Eaglemoss one here.

Plus, the Eternal will have the black globes, which should help distinguish them a bit more.

From mine, while its a bit lighter than the onscreen one, it is absolutely still orange.

That looks much better now, if the eternal has that shade of yellow it’ll look perfect. I think the issue stems from the character merchandise making it look much more orange and so it threw me at first.

i did think the same when i first opened it to be honest, one or two others mentioned it but i think EM have it about right
