    If I bought this, would they release the rest of the series without this episode? Just thinking of money saving 😉

      To my knowledge as BBC shop sent me an email about my pre-order of the blu ray saying this had been pushed back to 15th of September. I wonder what error this is? Might be that they want to make a cover that pertains to deep breath rather than a promotional shot from a later episode. Maybe they want to make a proper cover or maybe there is a technical issue they picked up on.

    I had a realisation that this DVD can kind of act like a companion piece to The Doctors Revisited DVDs since it’s got a 90 minute episode and a feature about the Doctor, but I suddenly remembered that Revisited was released for the US and AUS, and Deep Breath is for UK and AUS, so that goes out the window. If only we were able to know what DVDs will be out for the rest of the year so that we can understand why this can fit in.

    So, apparently Jenny and Vastra’s kiss has been but from the Deep Breath DVD. I read this online, and my instant thought was how pathetic it was. I’m sorry – but this is utterly ridiculous.

    If anyone can prove me wrong – please, please do. This, as I have said, if just something I read online.

      Really? That is ridiculous. Why would they remove it? I have said this on Facebook, so I’ll say it here. I hope the homophobics who complained never watch the show again, because complaining about that was ridiculous.

      Exactly – I can’t see why they feel they have to tender to the small amount of people, and by small I mean smaller than those who were fine with it, and change something that was, technically, a revolutionary step for the show.

      The kiss was cut from the Asian broadcasts but should be on the DVD/Blu-ray.

      I disagree about it being cut, but I think it was too far in a kids show. I liked the whole relationship in general though

    As much as this is an amazing first episode for capaldie I do think the box set is more value for money as it would probably be around £35 with extras as compared to 1 episode for £10 , but I suppose it’s great if you are going to watch this episode regularly and for people who didn’t catch it on iplayer as well as new fans seeing if they’re into capaldie era .

    My prediction for the series … with logic!
    Missy = short for Mistress.
    Mistress = female Master.
    The Gatekeeper = the Master as a woman.
    Heaven = Master’s TARDIS.
    (This one’s less logical, but bare with me.)
    Pause the video at the end. Who thinks the fountain looks like a Time Rotor?

      That’s a nice theory, wonder how people get there though, especially the clockwork robot in the end of Deep Breath – since when did robots go to heaven? 😆

      The surgeon (Clever name by the way), what you said is a great idea, I have breifly heard this idea before but the time rotor idea is great, but isn’t the Master going to be played by Charles Dance?

      Cheers for the compliment! It’s sometimes the Psychotherapist.
      I think that was just a rumour, but it might be true. I wouldn’t be surprised if Missy was killed by the Cybermen or something and regenerated into Mr Dance in the finale.

      perhaps it is romana as she was on galyifrey which is no longer destroyed and she spent a some time traveling with the doctor and may have formed and emothional bond with the doctor and i dout the master would call the doctor his boyfriend.
