Anyone any idea what is going on with Titan’s UK releases?

Wow. These are… something else. I laugh at the fact that people draw the 13th Doctor to look so graceful and ethereal half the time, when in reality, she’s one of the most awkward and klutzy incarnations, if not the most so. Her facial expressions are as weird as Mr. Bean’s.

By the same token they didn’t draw Tennant as a gurning loon but that is what he did most of the time

I mean, Matt Smith didn’t spend all of his screen time preening his bowtie, bit you wouldn’t know that with the amount of artwork/promotional images of him doing it!

Artistic license is artistic license, and I for one find Jodie’s expressions really heartening

Okay, Tennant had a real style. If you look up pictures of both of them, you can tell who makes cringier facial expressions, and in a greater volume. Also, I never said anything about the older comics, or whether I liked them or not. The only Doctor Who comic I own personally is a 5th Doctor one that I got for free at a comic con, and the artwork inside is heavily stylized. When I’ve looked at the covers of older ones, some of them capture the specific Doctor’s look and personality quite well, and others, not so much. I just find it funny that some people draw 13 to look like she’s as graceful as Galadriel, when she clearly isn’t. And they don’t do it in every case, anyway. Looking at the first of the 3, I half expect Clifford the Dog to step on her any second now.

Okay, you can have that opinion.

It’s wrong, but you can have it.
