The Eisner Award-winning Nick Abadzis (Laika) and fan-favorite Elena Casagrande (Angel, Suicide Risk, Doctor Who, Star Trek) take control of the TARDIS for their first five-issue arc with the Tenth Doctor, as played by David Tennant!

Gabriella Gonzalez is stuck in a dead-end job in her family’s New York Laundromat, dreaming of college and bigger, better and brighter things.

So when a strange man with an even stranger big blue box barges into her life on the eve of the Day of the Dead celebrations – talking about an infestation of psychic aliens – she seizes her chance for adventure with both hands.

After Donna’s tragic exit, the Doctor thought he was done with new companions. But Gabby Gonzalez is going to prove him wrong… if she survives the night!

When will this be shipped out? I’m thinking about buying the first issue for each Doctor and seeing what it’s like. If they’re good then I will want to be able to order the second two, but if they are poor then I won’t want to buy them; so I’m hoping they would be delivered before the order deadline for issue two…

I enquired with Forbidden Planet mail order re the new Comic range and they advised that although Titan have the new license this series is only available in the U.S but some U.K Comic stores may be able to import them but FP will not be doing a mail order subscription for this comic series.

Judging by the recent Who IDW comics they usually go for £3.99 per issue.

Just read somewhere that it will retail at $3.99 so that would be just about £2.50 🙂 I hope they are released in the UK, I never really got into the IDW ones. I didn’t want to start mid way through a plot line…

    Wot, no Ninth Doctor series?

These look great, Nick Abadzis and Robbie Morrison are solid writers and Alice Zhang is a talented artist. Not familiar with Casagrande’s work but the signs are promising.

I was sorry to see IDW lose the licence in many ways but it’s nice to see a British company keeping the Doctor’s comics adventures going.

Apparently they wont be able to print them in the uk due to licencing restrictions. I hope not but lets face it, it does seem to good to be true.
