In his many adventures the Doctor has to manage time, space and relative dimensions: luckily though, those of us on Earth just need to manage our time.

Now you, or someone you love, can do just that with this handcrafted mechanical watch.

Knowing the Doctor’s fondness for mixing classical and high-tech, this watch combines Roman numerals and a TARDIS-blue leather strap with a mechanical movement, exposing the inner workings of the watch.

In a reference to the opening sequences of Doctor Who, the watch face also features a gold-plated time spiral – the mysterious ‘Time Vortex’ – with a miniature TARDIS tumbling along it.

On the rear of the casing is engraved the name of the watch and Time Lord symbols from Gallifrey.

Hi, I have one of these and was thinking of selling. Covid comes with difficult times! (As much as I’m in love with the watch and it melts my heart everytime I see it) I haven’t even taken it out of the box the entire 10 years I’ve had it.
Was wondering how much they go for nowadays?

I know it says “mechanical” but is this a proper wind up watch (no battery)? I’ve had so called mechanical watches before, only to find they have a battery and by mechanical they meant skeleton movement.

You know what. I love this. My last watch was the regeneration watch released in 2010(? maybe 11) and it’s now showing signs of wear, and the batteries don’t last as they should.

This is the perfect upgrade for it, and even if i have to pay in installments the quality outweighs the cost so easily.

I know it’s not cheap, but trust me when I say that the asking price could’ve been a lot more. When I first saw the watch, the figure in my head was somewhere in the ball park of £300 and I wouldn’t have blamed them for attaching a price tag of that size to something which has obviously had a lot of work put into it.

It really is beautifully crafted, from the spiral sitting above the mechanical clockwork with roman numerals etched onto it along with Gallifreyan writing, to the TARDIS sliding along it, to the etching of the TARDIS and Gallifreyan writing on the backplate of the watch, to the “TARDIS blue” coloring of the tip of the crown and leather band. This is obviously something that has been manufactured with pure Doctor Who geekery at heart, and it shows in the design.

I know I wont be able to persuade those who already believe that it’s overpriced, but I know that everyone who buys it will appreciate it for its craftsmanship and it’s beauty. This doesn’t look like something that has been smacked together for the purpose of a profit because “it’s Doctor Who and it’ll sell”.

My opinion is biased because I’ve always wanted a mechanical watch with a Doctor Who twist, but hey-ho, I’ll just throw this opinion in the mixture.

I think you have submitted a good and well judged argument over the qualities of this item and should have no worries with expecting “hate” remarks. Succinctly stated and persuasive 🙂

I ordered one of these last time they were put up for sale, was sent a letter saying it wouldn’t be out until July, then the product vanished from the site and I assumed the order was cancelled, I wonder if it’s still a valid order or if I should buy again…

Why are people complaining about the price?? This is a. Ery fair price for a very nice watch. I collect watches and this is a cheaper price than some of the watches I own. Go look at the prices of well made watches and you will see that this is actually quite a good bargain.

Funny people moaning about the price. This is an individually made item and utterly worth the cost of what work goes into making it.

I’m sure there will be a plastic/cheaper version eventually but you can’t complain about people making a living for something very nicely made.

      totally agree

as with all thing the price is dictated by manufacturing costs versus likely demand, this is a high end quality product

there are other doctor who products that demand much higher prices

this is a stunning Dr who watch, I love it but it is overpriced, a lot of us Dr who fans cannot afford to buy one at this price, also a watch this size is no good for the female fans and would most certainly would not me as I have very small wrists, please offer one thats cheaper and smaller!
