    1. The price is OUTRAGEOUS the war doctor set costed £15 not £30!!!
    2. They should do a 5 inch set called
‘The Impossible Girl set’ that contains
1x 2013 Clara (name of doctor)
1x Victorian Clara in red dress
    1x Oswin Oswald
    Accessories:

    2x Soufflé
    1x Computer
    1x Snowman
    1x Oven
1x Swappable hands with Oven Mitts (for Oswin)
And the background could have 3 sections
    .Backstreets of London
    .The Shard
    .Oswins Kitchen

    I pre-ordered this today and I
honestly can’t wait to see it in person!! Of course, I’m a little annoyed that it’s so much for just one figure, but oh well, what can ya do, eh? But I’m not sure if I’m more excited for the figure or to see what the box that comes in looks like!! *_*

This is DISGUSTINGLY overpriced, and I’m seriously questioning whether I’ll even buy one one of these as a result
There are a lot of other things I’d rather get that I could buy with that sort of money
Shame since this is a very nice figure 🙁

I think we all agree that this is over priced…but that a-side, this is a fantastic set. I had the same dilema but I know I’d end up regretting it if I cancelled the order. At least we have 3 months to save up for it…if not longer as FP rarely release anything on the dates they orginally post.

The ELEVEN doctor’s set (with ELEVEN 5″ figures and fancy TARDIS packaging) had an RRP of £49.99. If this set really is £30 then that’s not far off the price of 11 figures.

I do feel that £30 is way too much to pay for one figure? Classic dr who 5 inch sets like the Daemons and the Claws of Axos had were three figure packs and they were selling for the same amount of money. It does seem a wee bit unfair. This will be the last 5inch dr who figure I will be buying as they are getting too expensive.

Agreed – I think its great for the show that these figures are in demand in other countries but I think the BBC need to revisit the licence with UT/CO if it is resulting in higher prices in the show’s home country.

I emailed FP to ask if they knew why the price had been set so high by UT and compared it to previous one figure sets. As expected, their response was along their usual lines of “we know nothing”…however, they did say that they were passing on the enquiry to their directors. Not sure if thats becuase they have already been flooded by similar emails…or if they are actually taking my email seriously. No harm in us all asking the same question…even if the increase the discount slightly…its something.

I managed to preorder this last night but I’m horrified at the swappable chests. Not only are we paying £30 for one figure and a couple of accessories, it also means the figure will have a horrible split on his shirt at the back. Oh well, atleast we are getting a 5″ 7B Doctor.

I don’t think there will be a split at the back as I’m guessing it will work something like this
Remove swappable head which reveals the waistcoat then like the john hurt figures scarf lift it up and put on the new one. Just a guess

ONE BODY. WE HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THESE FIGURES TO FIND THAT IT IS ONE. BODY.

AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT IT’S £30. NOT EXACTLY CHEAP FOR ONE FIGURE WITH A FEW NEW SCULPTED BITS ADDED TO IT. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN YOU COULD GET A 9TH/10TH REGENERATION MULTIPACK FOR JUST OVER £10…..???!!!

    I AM OUTRAGED.

However, that annoying factor to one side. I;m still probably gonna get it.. haha

I’m just going to buy one in hope that we’ll be getting 5″ Capaldi in his costume. It seems a bit stupid to create the 5″ sculpt just for a regeneration figure.

  • Trenzalore

    July 9th, 2014 - 12:32pm

The price is ridiculous for one body then loads of accessories. It’s like they’ve made it one body for the inconvenience, it will mean you would loose all the accessories if your not careful. Kind of put me off it now. I really hope they reconsider the price.
And another thing that would be really useful, if they actually told us how many of these they are planning to make; the eleventh doctor regeneration set is still fairly easy to get so I don’t see why it’s becoming so much more difficult in recent years.

  • JoePlaysGames

    July 9th, 2014 - 11:14am

I am not pre-ordering it. I am going to wait till its out. Theres no point in releasing it then. And whats the point of a Regenerated 12th Doctor in 5 inch. I think this would be bad for Doctor Who Figure Adventure Youtubers (Like Myself) as they could use the 11th but not the 12th. I think they should also release a 12th in his new costume as 5inch in the future. And for the price of £30 is crazy! And thats only %9 off! The War Doctor was £20 and he had 1 figure,1 head and The Moment. I will need to reply to carry on.

Not sure how UT can justify a £10 differnce between this set and the Ace set…it must be the presentation box…which will be going straight in the bin once I get mine.

    • JoePlaysGames

      July 9th, 2014 - 11:08am

Its acctualy £32 its just 9% off. Also it does not come out till September.

    • Anonymous

      July 9th, 2014 - 12:12pm

Yeah but you know the 9% off is nothing more than a marketing ploy. Anyway the main thing is that there is £10 difference between the 2 sets yet they are both 1 figures sets with roughly the same amount of accessories – in one you get 3 extra heads (if you include Handles), a sonic and a cane. The other you get extra arms, a painting and a boombox. What are we paying that extra £10 for…I hope its not the lump of cardboard its preented in.

the suggested price works out at £20, a couple have discounted it to £17

like this place for example http://www.urban-collector.com/doctor-who-time-of-the-doctor-action-figure-set-jul142310.html

      £13 price gap

having said that Ace is also over £5 cheaper, nearly £6 infact

  • The Holographic Doctor

    July 9th, 2014 - 9:49am

Definitely still buying this even though it’s £30 for 1 figure and some accessories. But I think it is fair for £30 as you get a lot with it which if all sold separately would probably add up to £30.

Yeap one figure set.Yet to be announced for the US officially yet. I guess we are paying for the extra 12th Doctor head and the packaging.

    • booboo

      July 9th, 2014 - 8:55am

it was though on Diamond – with a RRP of $34.99 (£20.00)

dont forget FP is also discounted it would be the equivalent of $56 – something is wrong somewhere

some one has a price wrong or we in the UK are getting a massive hike for some reason

they dont pay vat but they do pay local sales taxes, difference should be 15% at most

its either that or they are having to import these in a different way like the Bif bang Pow stuff that was double the USA price by the time it got here

    • Davidscustoms11

      July 9th, 2014 - 8:48am

I’m guessing it will work something like this:
Remove swappable head and then this reveals the waistcoat (a bit like the scarf on the john hurt figure) then remove a waistcoat and put on the other one.
      Just a guess

    • Melkur

      July 9th, 2014 - 9:05am

      July 9th, 2014 - 9:09am

personally i just wish UT (its their product) would come out and say officially exactly what this set is

the FP listing states 11th AND 12th Doctor Figure in the heading

“Doctor Who Exclusive – The Time of the Doctor 11th & 12th Figure”

thats pretty misleading if its only one figure and a head
