This book is good! It has all the stuff from the first one and loads more!
I thought the RTD daleks were the best but I guess the new daleks are good! As some are saying they need to be changed this show is about change but the bronze daleks are coming back!

you think thats bad what about ‘Hayakawa’ Daleks by some Japanese artist.

Unlike other comic book and graphic artists whose work, however stylized, usually presents relatively minor variations to the standard Dalek form, the renderings show a unique Dalek variant which is a radical departure from the recognized design. Whether this is the result of lack of access to source material, the Japanese publishers having no rights to the use of the Dalek image or the artist simply being allowed the free rein of his imagination, is unknown…

Terrible! The new dalek design is awful. The gun is now too long, the eye’s not long enough and at the bottom it is far too big!

whats so bad about the new daleks. they’re the same basic design. at least they have a base and a skirt with hemispheres,4 each row,at least they have shoulders and a neck cage and a dome and an eye stalk and a gun on the left side of the shoulders and a plunger at the right side.Justininferno you are a dalek racist doctor who site please ban all comments against the new daleks.

any way i have paper 2010 daleks right on my documents.

These ‘new’ Daleks are just awful. They are an unnecessary change and not needed. I don’t think they will be around forever though. As soon as this current production team have gone, a new one will change everything back again!

The last visual dictionary was OK. But it had some good pictures in it. I’m not bothered ’bout this one…

Viel things… The bronze 2005 Daleks are by far the best Dalek design to date.

I will be buying this, i loved the first one and it will be good to have the second one. I love the new dalek design. The yellow one is my faveroute :)

nah thefirst one was pretty rubbish

    definatly bying it

I will not buy anything to do with the new Dalek design, simply the worse mistake to have come out of this series, and a step too far.

  21. Posted by: PETER June 18th, 2010 Reply

Yep I agree and I’ll probably buy all 5 colours myself

  22. Posted by: booboo June 18th, 2010 Reply

I don’t really like them as much as the Bronze ones, they look way to bulky to me, wont stop me from buying them all though when the figures come out

Its actually quite interesting because i know there are a lot of people that really don’t like them at all ( and some that really hate the new design) but its still the figure most people are looking forward to getting

  23. Posted by: PETER June 18th, 2010 Reply

I’ve been watching Dr Who since it started when I was 4 years old and have seen the daleks many times over those 46 years and will no doubt buy one of the new ones for my figure collection but I’m just having trouble liking the new ones. Opinion on them seems to be fairly evenly divided at the minute but if they’re here to stay we’ll just have to get used to them.
Oh and despite my first post I’ll probably end up buying the visual dictionary anyway.

Sorry PETER but I think it’s a great cover. I don’t understand why some people dislike the new daleks. Loved the bronze ones of 2005-2010 but it’s nice to have something new and exciting about one of the Dr’s greatest foes like a new look.
