Doctor Who The Lost TV Episodes Collection Two Audio CD

Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk

Four more thrilling soundtrack adventures from the early days of Doctor Who, featuring serials lost from the TV archive. The pictures may be lost, but each of these stories survives as a soundtrack recording. Remastered, and with additional linking narration, they can be enjoyed once more. In The Daleks’ Master Plan, the Daleks have stolen the Time Destructor, and are threatening to destroy the fabric of Time itself. Pursued across Time and Space, the TARDIS crew are in grave danger. ?In The Massacre, the TARDIS materialises in Paris, 1572, a time of danger and religious strife. When Steven witnesses an execution, he believes the Doctor has been executed in front of his eyes.

In The Celestial Toymaker, the travellers arrive in the domain of the Toymaker, where failure to win a series of games could result in them becoming playthings for eternity. In The Savages, the TARDIS arrives on a distant and seemingly idyllic world, but the Doctor, Steven and Dodo discovers that it hides a terrible secret. Special linking narration is provided by Peter Purves, who also recalls his time making the original episodes in a bonus interview.

Also included is an edition of BBC Radio’s Archive on 4 from 2009. In ‘Doctor Who — The Lost Episodes’ Shaun Ley investigates what happened to the missing episodes of Doctor Who from the 1960s. The CD editions also feature PDF files featuring high quality scans of the original BBC TV camera scripts. Duration: 10 hours 20 mins approx ? & © 2019 BBC Studios Distribution For cast and credits see accompanying PDF booklet available on purchase.

Do we know yet if they will resissue sets 3 and 4? I’m quite enjoying these and the smaller cases take up so little room!

Reign was included in collection 1 despite being animated so I’d imagine it will be.

Just ordered Collection one and pre-ordered Collection Two at the same time.

To my shame I didn’t pick up the original boxsets (even though I’ve been a DW fan since the late ’70s). Definitely wouldn’t pay scalper prices for them.

Not a fan of the discs being stacked, and wish they’d included the inlays. But, I’ll take that over not having them at all. For £20 I’m not complaining.

Let’s hope the PDF files are on the Mission to the Unknown disc this time! (although they probably will put it with CD 12 along with the interviews)

No Mission to the Unknown? Or will it be part of Master Plan like the vinyl? I have Collection One and it doesn’t seem to be in that box between Galaxy 4 and Myth Makers as you’d expect (albeit I haven’t had a chance to listen through it all yet).

If this is a reissue, ot will be that there is a disc for ‘Mission to the Unknown’ listed under ‘The Daleks’ Master Plan’ collection as before

In the BBC Radio Collection and original Lost TV episodes issue, it was labeled as The Daleks’ Master Plan CD 1. Imagine so in this set.

Do you know if these have individual cases per story or if it’s all in one?

Collection One comes 7 Mar. It will confirm our suspicions that it is all in one. Hopefully it’s a box set.

As suspected, it’s 12 discs on a spindle. Can’t complain too much. It’s good to be able to get them at a reasonable price!!

Good to see the re-re-releases happening. Just like the DVDs, these stories should always be in print.

Agree, I’ve got them bought as they came out but a lot of my friends missed them some because they came to who due to the various new series. Just last week a friend from work who started with Jodie was asking for recommendations. I lent her abominable snowmen and she loved it!
