Doctor Who The Essential Guide #11 Adventures in Space

The Doctor doesn’t just travel in time; stories set in space have been an essential part of Doctor Who for six decades.

The latest issue of Panini’s acclaimed Doctor Who bookazine includes features on classic stories such as “The Ambassadors of Death,” “The Ark in Space,” and “Voyage of the Damned.”

Packed with exclusive content and rare images, other highlights of this 116-page bookazine include interviews with the actors, writers and directors who helped to create some of these episodes.

Reading this at the moment, it’s quite good writing but I can’t help but feel the connections to space are, at times, really tenuous.

Does anybody know if/when the Robots special edition was released in the UK? It hasn’t shown up in the specialty import stores in Australia yet and I don’t want to miss a copy… thanks in advance.

I’m not 100% sure but I think his name is Caven. What I absolutely do know for certain is that he appeared in the 1969 story “The Space Pirates”.
