So just checked the price again and for at least a few weeks it was £30 but now it has gone back up to £32,99. I am really not happy about this. want to buy it but putting the price up is putting me off buying it.

Places like sky where at the start selling it for 13.99 and now for 30.99, I’m lucky i got when it was 13.99.

      Yes exactly like that.

Im slightly disappointed that this isn’t a big box set and is just a vanila slimcase release. Does anyone else find it strange how they constantly change between just a dvd case or a full box set ??

Ik it really annoys me. I think they should just stick with the way they presented the series 9 boxset. If all the series dvds were set out like that I would so much happier.

Just so everyone knows the price for the Series 10 DVD, Blu-Ray and Steelbook have all gone down. The new prices are as follow

    DVD – £36.99
    Blu-Ray – £39.99
    Steelbook – £47.99

Could be a bit cheaper, but at least they’ve gone down

      I say yes to that!

    • When The Doctor Was Me

      October 21st, 2017 - 9:23am

£25 for a whole series! Thats far to low! The price may be a little high but with all the special features I can see why it’s the price it is. Maybe £30 for dvd and £35 for bluray would be good, but its little over that now.

    • whofan36

      October 21st, 2017 - 10:38am

I think the CW shows Arrow, The Flash and Supergril only cost £23 and you get 23 episodes plus special features. so £25 pound for 12 eps is not unreasonable

    • Anonymous

Their selling series 9 for 20 pound and it comes with an extra episode.

    • T.A

      October 22nd, 2017 - 12:07am

Their now selling it for 21 pound on sky.

    • When The Doctor Was Me

      October 22nd, 2017 - 9:02am

When series 9 was first released it was more that £30 its only cheaper now because it 2 years old. And yes your right those shows are cheaper sets but they have a far bigger audience and market that people buy from. I think the series 10 price is fine. If people think its to much just wait for a price drop in a few months time.

I’m holding out on a re-release with the classic logo like they did with Series 1-7, seeing as 12 is soon to join the ‘classic’ Doctors (in the eyes of the BBC, Doctors 9-11 and any associated material is considered ‘classic’ to them) Series 8-9 would likely get the same treatment if that happens.

It’s wrong. There is no way you will get the set for £13.99 expect an email at some point with an apology & the cancellation of your Order. If Amazon drop’s to around £25-£30 for the set then it’s unlikely Sky will be selling it for less.

Peter Capaldi looks so epic on this DVD cover, he really was perfect for the role and has become my favourite Dr.

It’s almost as though they put all the previous Dr’s into a blender and mixed it with a bit of Peter Cushing and created the 12th Dr. I’m going to miss him.

Anyone else not sure about the inclusion of the five-star ratings on the cover? Nothing particularly against that in itself, just feels kinda weird to me as they’ve never done that before. Like, why single this series’s level of critical acclaim out when all the previous series were just as well received? Maybe that’s just me being weird, I dunno.

      October 12th, 2017 - 7:39pm

yes, and its undercutting like this that with put a another nail in the coffin for future releases

Those who troll about what should be included take note

    • Anonymous

      October 15th, 2017 - 5:44pm

No, we are not trolling. We are expressing a valid point & opinion. The BBC will continue to sell DVD’s from the Doctor Who range (Hence release’s like ‘Shada’) & will continue to do so. As for Sky they won’t be undercutting anyone as it’s obviously a mistake. There is no way a brand new 6-disc box set is going to be sold for £13.99 (Unless Sky have a deal with the BBC?) when Amazon will be selling it for £25-£30.

    • booboo

      October 15th, 2017 - 5:53pm

I’m actually finding the whole situation poor

Prices are all over the place

We have Zavvi and sky with Sydney Newman as director, sky with a cert 18 description, Zavvi with stars from past series and poor Amazon reviews based on price rather than content because of their pricing policy.

Its getting 1 star reviews based on a price its never going to sell for

Its not really the way to market a leading brand

    • DoctorSong2016

      October 15th, 2017 - 6:00pm

There’s a chance Sky are selling Part 1 and Part 2 bundled together as opposed to the actual box set, but even then, it’s listed for less than the price of just one of the sets.

    • T.A

      October 22nd, 2017 - 12:03am

The cover’s so similar to the style used on some of the calendars the past couple of years I can’t help but suspect it may be the same artist.

(I notice they’ve switched to “The Complete Series 10” rather than “The Complete Tenth Series” as well).

It is part of Series 10 actually.
It would never be classed as part of Series 11.
But yes, it’s not out yes as it’s a Christmas special believe it or not.

    • JacksonLake

      October 12th, 2017 - 4:28pm

Yes Twice Upon a Time is deffo Series 10, if it wasn’t what would be like adding the 2008-10 specials to the Series 5 boxset.

    • Omega63

      October 13th, 2017 - 5:13pm

Twice Upon a Time is definitely Series 10. It continues straight from it. https://mobile.twitter.com/WilliamShatner/status/918660754198355968/photo/1
Even the script labelled it. It’s just a special add on to the end of Series 10. When people look back in years, it will be seen as part of the Series.

Disgusting isn’t it! I’m extremely annoyed that Twice Upon A Time is not on this. I don’t want an incomplete set then have to buy another separate DVD in Jan 2018 to finish it off. I would be even more annoyed if they then released it on the Season 11 DVD set. I think it’s Christmas desperation trying to shift a few sets then sell the Christmas Special in Jan 2018. I’d rather they just waited & released the Christmas Special Jan 2018 made their money then released the full Box Set round Mar 2018. I’m not double-dipping on this so will wait until Season 11 is out before purchasing Season 10 so I know what is available (It will also be considerably cheaper by then as well)
