I constantly spent my half an hour to read this web site’s articles or reviews all the time along with a cup of coffee.

I take photos and I also have people send me photos from all over the world. There are many apps that will scan and create a copy of that photo and it looks like a out line or pencil drawing. I enjoy doing this and painting or coloring them.

Adult Coloring Books are what’s in right now. My daughter gave me one last week for my 56th birthday. I have been seeing them at Barnes & Noble in the last year. I had surgery in July and I was able to go online and print some coloring pages for free on card stock. I used Sharpie Markers and Joy Color Pens on two, and color pencils on two others. The bad thing about the Sharpie Markers is they bleed through. I need to try with the Crayola Markers I have for my grandsons here at the house. I am using the colored pencils I bought for them but they do not use, so Meemaw will use them.

I guess what I’m trying to say is… You’re never too old or young to color. It’s relaxing and a lot of us could use more relaxation in our lives! Color away!

Funnily enough I learnt today that colouring for adults reduces stress and relieves anxiety.

I did this same thing while recovering after back surgery. So much time spent abed, it was one truly enjoyable activity, plus, I could put it down any moment~

Coloring books are big now. I have two and will definitely get this one. I’m 65 and an artist. Coloring has been a great therapeutic outlet while I’m recovering from a hip replacement, since I can’t get downstairs to my studio. Creating is creating no matter what form it takes. Try it out. Make sure to only use Staedtler markers/pens. The others bleed through to the other pages.

I solved this dilemma by experimenting with pencil colors and found combining a dark blue and a light blue gave me the Tardis blue I needed.

For those that have been living under a rock, colouring books are a huge “thing” at the moment. It’s part of the anti-depression mindfulness movement. World wide publishers have struggled to keep up with demand. Hence the detail in the Who colouring book. It’s mainly aimed at adults but of course children would enjoy it as well πŸ™‚
