THE ELEVENTH DOCTOR YEAR TWO STARTS HERE! ‘THE THEN AND THE NOW’ PART ONE!

When the Doctor and Alice respond to a distress call, they are caught in a trap set by The Overcast – a small colony of Time War survivors. Blaming the Doctor for the death of their people, the disappearance of their gods, and the arrival of a deadly curse known only as the Malignant, they had saved for generations to employ The Then and The Now, a bounty hunter (and weeping sore in the skin of temporal causality), to punish the Doctor for the sins of his past.

THE TWELFTH DOCTOR YEAR TWO STARTS HERE! ‘CLARA OSWALD AND THE SCHOOL OF DEATH’ PART ONE!

When a teacher friend of Clara’s disappears from a school in the frozen wilds of Scotland, the Doctor and Clara go undercover to investigate. But Ravenscaur is home to secrets even more terrifying and ancient than its strict school rules and entitled, Old Money residents. As the tide turns against the cliffs below, an old menace is about to rise anew…

Interesting that cover is very reminiscent of the style of the covers on the old TV Action comic…..

For some reason the cover makes me think of the Doctor and Clara being in a more-serious-than-usual buddy cop movie.

For those not aware, in the bottom corner of the contents page) it lists which of the American comics it is reprinting, so hopefully they stick to three doctors and one story per doctor per issue and include all the american comics and in the order they were released in America.

I see it is down from 84 pages to 76 and with only the adverts/one page comic letting you know that one doctor comic has ended and other is about to start. This is not good, they need the intro pages back.

After all the malarkey surrounding which Doctors’ storylines would be published in the (now cancelled) main A4 comic or ‘Tales’, it’s at least a welcome feeling to return to the traditional thee strips, three Doctors per issue format with ‘Tales’ Issue 4.

Let’s just hope that Titan stays true to this approach in the coming months rather than causing further unnecessary confusion (although that they’ve once again included the cover art for the Tenth’s strip but no such art for either the Eleventh or Twelfth’s doesn’t initially bode well!).

The way things are going, we’ll in three months get Doctor Who: K-9’s Krazy Tales, issue 4 of which will take over from the then-cancelled TFTD. And it’ll be A3, just because.

The new TFTD #4 is… not great. Down to 76 pages, no cover art for two of the comics, and an overall flimsy feel. It just feels like no-one really cares, and the lack of intro pages for two of the three strips isn’t very smart.

They really need to put someone in charge who know’s what they are doing & sort it all out once & for all.
