Sucks they could never release an 11th/12th doctors sonic that actually has a flick open gimmick rather than the spring loaded feature, how hard could it be? Would make for a nice variant and give probably quite a few people a good reason to buy pretty much the exact same sonic. I always wanted the tv remove for that reason but never could put up the cash for one.

The TV Movie ‘the enemy within’? It’s not called that at all. I have all these except 5. I just want the 5th. Please release it on its own. I ain’t buying this bunch again just for that.

Just received mine today. They look very nice displayed together in the box. The pictures don’t tend to do them justice. Still they probably will go down in price if they don’t sell out first.

One doubt that is on mind: Is the 11th Doctor’s sonic the same from 2010 or does it work with the same activation button when open?

Please tell me if the classic screwdrivers make classic sound fx or only the modern sound fx.

For £70, they could throw in the [proper] 12th and 13th! Sorry CO, but no thanks.

I agree £70 is to high for re-releases but many people will be paying £45 which is a bargain, it might come down to that again.

£45 – I could live with. Not sure how they can justify giving it a 55% increase virtually overnight?

The 10th Doctor sonic looks a bit different. Has it been resized so it’s more accurate to the prop?

No, it’s the 50th anniversary version, with a button on the slider, but with a more series 2 colour scheme

Firstly it’s the Doctor, not Doctor Who.
Secondly, its now their not his.

      October 9th, 2019 - 7:48am

Dear god, are we doing this again? Yeah it should be their not his, but considering Thirteen’s sonic isn’t in the lineup, it sort of passes. But the “you can’t call them Doctor Who” argument is so tired by now, leave it be.

I’ve now been told that this is a authorisation to make sure the account has money for the purchase. I queried it as they usually authorise by charging £1 but the person at Amazon said to me that sometimes they authorise with the full amount. Bit disappointed really, that’s £45 unavailable for up to 7 days.

    – War
    – Grey 9th/10
    – 11th

And maybe if they could do more than 6 a 12th

I spent time tracking them all down via ebay, I have them all now and I got most at good prices.
Just replaced my UV light 10th Sonic with the new B&M version so I’m all done.
Good set for someone who is missing most of them and has lots of spare cash.

Quite a nice collection! Although shame on whoever wrote that press release, taking the time to reference the fact McCoy and McGann shared a screwdriver, but not including the more obvious references to Eccleston/Tennant and Smith/Capaldi sharing their screwdrivers as well!
