Change Rory to one of the Amelia figures or Amy in her police outfit and this would be a pretty cool Eleventh Hour set

But that would have involved new moulding/ painting which is not what these sets are about. These are more catch up sets for people who missed out/ newer fans

It’s not. They originally packaged Rory in the series 6 wave. But it is now correctly part of the Series 5 set. as he did wear this outfit in Vampires of Venice(?) I believe…

    • Anonymous

      August 16th, 2014 - 12:37pm

No the outfit he wore in vampires of venis firstly had a but Amy and Rory image on it and that was just a t shirt with not buttons this is the kind of shirt you button up

But thus one come from the doctors wife

But it is nice they included Rory because i had to travel a long distance to buy my Rory. It is a really nice figure though.

I want to know what the likely hood is of the chances of getting …..

A day of the doctor set…

    War doctor
    10th doctor
    11th doctor

      August 15th, 2014 - 11:51am

Unlikely because both the war and 11th (s7b) are limted edition figures. Meaning only select amount are made. The 10th doctor would just be a re-release of what we already have!
I think if a DOTD set was announced it would be cool to have a few three packs

1 – War Doctor (sonic and timelord blaster), Damaged Time War Dalek and Timelord warrior
2 – 10th Doctor (Sonic, new head sculpt and zygon device) Queen Elizabeth and Zygon
3 – 11th Doctor (Sonic, alternative fez head) Clara and Gallifrey Falls No More painting, with 3D lenticular painting!

Whats the likelihood of this being released in the UK? If it’s likely, would it be an FP exclusive, TRU exclusive, or just a general release? I’m not wanting to buy it at the moment, but I plan to in the future.

always a problem when companies dont tell people where these products are actually being sold

Odd line up. I wish we could have had the BBC shop exclusive Rory, even though that was never gonna happen, considering that costume is based off “Cold Blood”, whearas the one in this set is from “The Doctor’s Wife”. Also, because I don’t own the BBC Shop version :p . I would have loved the USA version to get a chance to be put on a wider sale.

I’m not really interested in these. Both of the other Rory variants look superior (IMO) to this one, Prisoner Zero is a great monster, but I could get an original release for a potentially lower price.

I agree. The choices, I have to say are quite odd. The Series 6 selection is OK, but the Series 5 set has a regeneration figure (kind-of) which is a little strange, with Prisoner Zero (OK, but he’s not one of the main Series monsters) and then Rory-what? Then the Series 4 one: as much as I like River, interesting how they’ve chosen Donna (a companion) instead of a Doctor like the other two. And then ‘the Narrator’ from The Specials. I don’t know… 😕

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      June 20th, 2014 - 3:56pm

I would have thought Rory would have fitted better into Series 6 – but even then, Rory was a figure that sold out very quickly in its original run. Seeing it here makes me wonder, quintessentially – why? It was an exclusive, and now it’s in a set of three with common and boring Prisoner Zero and the (slightly, but not as) exclusive Raggedy Doctor? Hmm.

And the Series 4 set with River, Donna and Rassilon is a bit jumbles. Rassilon doesn’t really fit in, as he wasn’t in series 4!

      June 20th, 2014 - 3:58pm

these tend to be cheap sets made up of strange assortments

could be factory over runs or anything as to why its this way

    • Sam Richard Bentley

      June 20th, 2014 - 4:02pm

Which is why it’s so odd that Rory is in this set, and River I suppose. They were well sought out figures and sold in the masses – to see them now featuring in cheap assortment sets is odd.

    • booboo

      June 20th, 2014 - 4:04pm

that lasts sets included Korwin which was never released on its own
